"Uhm, guys. An eagle just dropped a paper by the window." I say, motioning for everyone to come to me.
Noah opened the window and grabbed the paper, slowly unrolling it. "It's upside down, Noah." Declan laughed.
"I totally knew that, I was just testing my skills to read upside down."
"No you weren't. You just didn't know it was upside down. Plus, who needs to know how to read upside down?"
"Guys, stop!" Amber yells before grabbing the paper from Noah.
Amber quickly reads over the note before widening her eyes and clearing her throat. "To Madeleine, Noah, Amber, Holly, and Declan. By the time you're reading this, I'm assuming you've been claimed. It might be scary, but I need help. The gods on Mount Olympus - okay maybe it's mainly Zeus, but anyways - think that I got the four gods of the day to help me play a trick on everyone else. A prank that the day and night will no longer exist, and it'll just be pure darkness. That's not the case. I have nothing to do with the disappearance of Helios, Selene, Eos or Astraeus, and I really need your help finding them. No need to worry about going through the creepy Oracle of Delphi process, we already found out that you teenagers are part of the prophecy. Meet me at the Parthenon on top of the Acropolis as soon as you can, AKA right now, please! Oh! And bring me some cookies, I ran out last night. -From, Hermes."
We all look at each other with shock. "We're part of a prophecy?" Declan asked.
"What if he meant a different group of people?" Holly suggested. We all looked at her with disbelief.
"Holly, what are the odds of there being a group of five teenagers that just got claimed by godly parents, and not to mention, with the exact same names as us." Declan deadpanned.
"Okay, anyway. We need to get to the Parthenon to meet Hermes. He probably has important information for us." I say, moving away from the group to grab a backpack from my closet. I start placing some books that we may need it in, also grabbing a few other small things, "Just grab a random bag and throw some clothes and other little things you might need. Just for now until we can figure out a better plan."
Once we pack some bags, Declan stops us before heading out the door. "I can shadow travel us. It might take a long time to get to the Parthenon, let alone the Acropolis. Amber can heal me if anything happens."
"Are you sure it's a good idea? Do you even know how to shadow travel?" Amber asked, slinging her bag over her shoulder.
"I've read a lot about it. Remember, I got a project that focused just on Hades? I guess that worked out well." he laughed.
We gather around Declan, watching him carefully before closing our eyes. A minute later, we feel a gust of wind and open our eyes to see we were standing in the gigantic shadow of the Parthenon.
Holly gasped and pointed towards the big temple, "I see someone over there, I think it might be Hermes."
We start walking and the distant figure also begins to walk towards us, and when we get close enough, we see the man wearing winged shoes and a winged helmet.
"I see you've figured out how to shadow travel, Declan." Hermes said, putting his hands behind his back.
"So what's up with this prophecy thing and the gods of the day?" Noah asked, staring at the god in front of us.
"Well, like my letter said, Helios, Selene, Eos, and Astraeus have disappeared. Zeus thinks that it's my doing, since I'm the god of trickery, but I promise that i have as little clue as everyone else as to where they went. Now, I need to send you guys to some training, just so you can get to know your abilities better, and you can meet some of your siblings. Then, you will set out on the quest." Hermes explained, leading us to the far side of the Parthenon.
