Once we finish packing our supplies, we go to where NoahS siblings were already waiting with some extra weapons.
"Everything is just normal iron and steel since they used to be for training. If you're going to be fighting monsters, you might want to find some blessed metals. They'll be safer for you," Noah's older brother passed out the weapons, each of us getting a short sword, a dagger, and a small shield. "It'd be a good idea to get some armour, too."
"Thank you for helping us. Where should we leave these once we get our new tools?" I ask, tucking my dagger into a loop on my jeans.
"Just leave them at the workshop, we can pick them up later if we need them."
"Thanks Artie, hopefully we won't be gone for too long." Noah yelled, pushing the rest of us out the door.
"Don't forget to bring back the day!" Artie yelled back.
Once we got outside, we started walking in the direction of Hephaestus's workshop, and I turned to see Declan stopped behind us.
"Declan, come on. We need to go quickly." I stop and wait for him.
"Why did we have to get weapons for the trip? I can just shadow travel us to the shop." Declan finally catches up and we went back to the group.
"You'll pass out if you shadow travel again, dummy. It's not a good idea because you've already done it once today, and we have all these extra items." Amber looks back at us and glares at Declan.
"We'll have time while Noah makes our weapons, Declan can just sleep it off!" Holly cheered.
"I don't think it works that way, Holly." I say.
"In my defence, it isn't that far away. I'll just be a little bit tired after." Declan said, putting his sword in its sheath.
"If you think you can handle it then I guess it wouldn't be a problem. Just don't think that you can shadow travel us whenever we need to go somewhere, you'll put yourself into a shadow coma." I say, moving towards Declan, pulling Amber, Noah, and Holly with me.
"Yes, mom." Declan laughs. We get in a circle around him and he closes his eyes, focussing on going to Hephaestus's workshop. I looked around me and saw fibres of shadows and darkness swirl around us.
"I feel like I'm suffocating." Amber's body shook, gaining everyone's attention.
"No shit, Sherlock. Your dad is Apollo. You're light, Declan is dark. THIS IS ONE OF THE CASES WHERE OPPOSITES DO NOT ATTRACT!" Noah stated.
"Everyone shut up, I need to focus." Declan opened one eye to look at Amber and Noah.
The rest of us closed out eyes, and a few seconds later, our feet hit the floor of the workshop, and Declan collapsed. Amber and Noah grabbed Declan by his arms and moved him over to a chair. I run to a table and grab a cloth, soaking it in cold water and placing it on his forehead.
"Is there anything we can do to help speed up the forging process?" I ask, walking over to Noah to see he's already started melting metals.
"Just watch Declan and make sure he's okay. We need everyone in the best possible condition. I'll take good health over quick weapons any day." Noah turned back to his work.
