There were large tents with the names of gods and goddesses on them, and we all split up and went to our appropriate areas. I slowly walked into the tent to see a bunch of people reading and studying.
"Guys, she's here!" A girl, who seemed to be younger than me, sad, and ran towards me.
"Allison, calm down. You'll scare her away before we get a chance to talk," A boy says, pushing his hand out, "Hey, I'm Eli. You must be Madeleine."
"It's nice to meet you. I just got here with my other friends. Apparently we're part of the prophecy for the day gods." I explain.
"Hermes said we needed to train you, but, from what I can tell, you already look like you know a lot."
"I like to think I know a lot, but there's always more to learn. My IQ is 213, but I'll be the first to admit that there have been times where I don't know something."
Eli thought for a moment, before looking back at me, "all I can really do at this point is show you around and introduce you to everyone else. The only way you can learn anything else is to be put in a situation with it, and we can't send you out until the rest of your group is ready."
We start walking around and Eli shows me where the different things are, and where my siblings like to be the most. I feel something touch my hand and I look down to see Allison placing her small hand into mine, I send her a smile and continue walking.
"So if the gods of the day are missing, then how come there's still a day cycle right now?" I ask.
Eli stops and turns to me, "I guess Hemera and Nyx are helping with that part, but I don't know how long it'll last. They're just the day and night, but the others are different. Helios is the Sun, Selene is the Moon, Eos is the dawn, and Astraeus is the dusk. They're what helps keep the world alive, so it will just decline until we get them back. Not to mention, Hemera and Nyx don't exactly like each other."
As I was processing the information, a loud bell rings, and Eli pulls me outside of the tent. I look around to see all of my friends, standing with their siblings as well, noticing just how much they look alike.
"The demigods of our prophecy, your training time has been cut short. Hemera and Nyx have only agreed to help us for so long, and after that, the world will be dark until and if the missing gods are found. Since you found out your abilities before I called you here, we hope you'll be okay and that you'll learn more about them on your journey." Hermes said, before disappearing into a crack in the ground.
"So now that we know our abilities, we can set out, right?" Holly asked, starting to use her charmspeak near the end.
"You think that we can just go on a quest without having any weapons? Are you crazy? We'd get killed instantly." I laughed, placing some books in my bag before closing it. I knew for a fact that we'd meet some sort of disgusting creature as soon as we set foot off of the Acropolis.
"There's some old weapons that my siblings have just laying around. We could use those until we get to my dad's workshop, then I can make us some better tools." Noah suggested.
