No, this ain't actually gonna let you gamble, Gold! Just a way of saying things while *trying to* do alliteration...
"So, what should we focus on first?" Platinum inquired calmly.
"Like Gold's mom said," Red replied. "Goldenrod City, ask around,"
"Uh, when did she say that?" Gold asked, puzzled.
"When you were skateboarding away, shouting 'Let's go!'" Crystal rolled her eyes.
"Oh, that's what she was saying!' Gold exclaimed.
Silver just sighed in response.
"Well, team, off to Goldenrod we go!" Gold hollered, skateboarding around in circles.
The answers ranged from "Since when were we a team?" (Silver) to "Yay team! Hey, at Goldenrod City, may we shop a little?" (Platinum), but in the end everyone agreed with Gold and they headed off.
~~Time Skip~~
The group had arrived at Goldenrod City. It was full of bustling people, hurrying from here to there to outside of the town.
"Where do we start?" Green asked.
"We should split into groups," Crystal thought aloud. "One group go to the Game Center, one to the Northeast area, and one group to the Southwest area,"
"Good idea, SSG!" Gold grinned. "I say you, me, and Silver go to the Game Center with Blue. Red, Yellow, Emerald, and Green go southwest, and Ruby, Sapphire, Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl can go northeast!"
Crystal thought it over for a bit, then nodded hesitantly. "Okay."
Everybody split into their groups and headed toward their assigned location. Gold, Crystal, Silver, and Blue headed off to the Game Center.
"Gold!" Crystal scolded Gold for what seemed like the 20 millionth time. Gold had been eyeing the pool tables while they were asking people.
"Hey, it's just instinct," He argued.
"Gold, watching people isn't instinct. You're doing it long enough to be able to tear yourself away,"
"Darnit..."
They came to the next person, at a pool table. Gold's hands itched to play, but he shoved those thoughts aside and focused on asking the man about Maddox.
"Mister, have you heard about a guy named Maddox? Used to be married to Cora, my mom, probably with a woman named Star?"
The man had shaggy black hair, and he was thin, like he didn't eat much. "Why yeah. But ya gotta beat me in a game of pool to get me to tell ya," He winked. "Or just give me one of those lassies there."
Blue shuddered. "Uh, Gold can play you in pool."
"Sweet! I can play!" Gold pumped a fist in the air.
