Surviving the undead

Lily and I decide to go to bed after a while, we got bored of looking at the stars. I put her to bed and then slowly made my way to mine. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow, it's been a long day.

I wake up to a blood curly scream, I shoot up out of bed and run down stairs. I see a lifeless body on the group and i choke back the tears. Ryan, please oh god no. I sit down on the ground next to him and place his head in my lap and brush his hair out of his face.

"What happened?"

I ask him but, my uncle took him to get help before hand. I go to follow them when Jace pulls me back.

"Let me go.. "

I say and try to shake his grip off my arm.

"Kat clam down."

"Don't flipping tell me to clam down, I can't be clam. My best friend just got shoot and your telling me to be clam. What's wrong with you?"

"Kat, I know who shoot Ryan."

Ok that caught my attention, I look at him and raise an eyebrow.

"Who? I'll kill the bastard."

"It was Jake, his back."

I go to storm out of this camp, when he pulls me back.

"Go see Ry before you do something stupid."

I nod and run inside, they are still trying to fix his wound so I sit on the lough chair in his room, until I fall into a deep sleep.

I hear them bring Ryan back into the room and I wake up straight away, I go to hug him but, Andy holds me back.

"He's way to saw for a hug."

I nod and hold his hand instant, he hangs onto mine like he's life depended on it.

"Hey."

I say in a quiet voice.

"Hey, you look so sad. Why?"

"Because you got shoot and I was worried sick about you."

"Come on, we both know that I'm strong."

"Yea, anyway I was gonna go hunting soon."

"Ok have fun."

I go to get up when he grabs my hand again and pulls me in towards him. Our lips touch and I start blushing, I smile to myself as I walk out. I go up into my room and grab my crossbow. I grab my bag which is already packed with food, water and spare weapons. I place a gun in the back of my pants and place a jacket on so no one can see it. I go to leave and decide to leave a note.

I leave through the window and climb onto the roof, I go the back and jump onto the wall and climb down. I run before anyone can see me and keep going until I find another one of Jakes men.

"Let's go."

I say and he gets scared.

"What?"

"I hear that Jake is looking for me so let's go."

He nods and we head into the forest God knows what I just did.
