I turn and hightail it back down into the kitchen. I rest my back against the wall and take deep breaths. Why am I so worked up? We aren't even dating? so what if he likes another girl? I choke back the tears and I run outside.

"Jace?"

I ask him, he turns to face me.

"What's wrong?"

He asked me straight away, I pull him to behind the shed.

"I'm fine, anyway. Jake is still living and breathing. He's working with Brynn and he wants me to stay at his camp."

"Oh hell no!"

Jane yells and comes towards me, I hear a strange noise over the wall. I climb up it and see Jake standing with 2 people. Sophie and Liam, both close to me. Oh Jesus Christ, I stand and fold my arms.

"Hand over Kat and Ryan.. Then you can keep these people alive."

Jake spat, I roll my eyes and Ryan climbs up. I jump off the wall and I face Jake.

"Why the both of us?"

"Because.. 2 for 2."

"I'm in, let one go. RYAN YOU BETTER GET DOWN HERE NOW!"

I yell and he jumps off the wall and stands next to me. Jake keeps his word and we walk back to his camp.

"Wow.. Kat, back so soon."

Jake says and laughs.

"Bite me. Where's your girlfriend?"

"We aren't dating Kat."

"Bull, anyway.. How did you find them?"

"I guessed and then I knew I hit your weak spot."

"I'm not weak."

"Your just, unstable."

"No way."

I say with a chuckle, he gives me a weird look.

"Wow.. You really think I'm a scared little girl still? Now that's cute."

"Really prove me wrong."

He says and stops outside of the building. I only just noticed we got here and I smirk.

"Sure."

I kick him in the nuts and then punch his cheek. He goes to swing at me but, I duck. I side kick his legs causing them to give in. I stand back up and pick up a knife. I stab him in the shoulder and grab his gun.

I throw it to Ryan, he starts shooting at the men. I hear Jake crying from the pain and then Brynn runs out. She comes at me and I put my foot I front of hers, I put my weight on her shoulder and pick up her waist up. I drop her on the ground and grab her gun. I start shooting along with Ryan, then next thing I know I'm tackled to the ground.

I hear a shoot and Jace's body falls to the ground. I see Brynn and Ryan comes up behind her. I concertante on Jace, he's shot in the heart, noway to save him. We can't get him back to camp in time. I hug him body and he says his last words so softly.

"Thanks for being their for me."

"Ha, I should be saying that."

"Nice Kat, trying to have a moment and you killed it.. Haha pun."

"I'll miss you."

"You to.. Stay strong and brave."
