Part 9

Nadya

      I wake up to the feeling of my entire body being numb. There is a beeping sound. A rush of feet. Loud footsteps. Sounds of voices, are they shouting. Arrrggghh !!! I can feel a pounding headache. When I try to open my eyes, I am blinded by light, so I shut it quickly. As, if on cue my whole body explode in pain. Arrrggghh !!! I try to move my hands but can't. I feel so overwhelmed that I started to feel light-headed and before I can comprehend what happening, am pulled into darkness that I welcome to avoid this pain.

 As I rushed to the Intensive Care Unit, ICU, with the nurse on tour. I asked about with of the patient need assistance. She informed me that it is Noor's look alike. She has regained conscious. I quicken my steps to get there. Seems like time to solve some mystery, I thought.

     I reached room 10, where Noor's look alike is admitted to find some nurses trying to stabilize her before I arrived. I quickly ask for a report on her condition, as I try to help the nurses.

  “She has regained conscious but not complete because no movement of the body, and she hasn't yet opened her eyes”, answered one of the nurses.

    She tried to open her eyes but shut it. She moved her head as if in pain. She tries to move her hands. I quickly ordered one of the nurses to administer anesthesia, to prevent her from injuring herself.

    She slowly lost conscious. I checked her vitals and her whole body and after being satisfied before leaving her in care of the nurses. I also check on Noor who is in the same room. Hope she wakes up soon.

 I checked through my bag for my phone, Alhamdulillah, I did not forget it. I quickly dialed Abbu's phone number. Noor said it switched off, I hoped is switched on now. It went through. I wait for him to pick it up.
 
     “Salaam alaikum Nina”. I heard Abbu's voice.
 “Wa'alaikum Salam Abbu”, I try to calm my voice
“Abbu, please can you come to Specialist hospital”, I answered.
 “Is everything alright”, Abbu asked anxiously.
 “It nothing just try to make it here quickly”, I cut the call and wait for him anxiously.

Noor

It's already to 6 O' clock and Abbu is still not here. I know Ummi will spend the night unconscious but I don't know about Noor or her look alike. I am surprised about what I discovered about Ummi but I have to wait for Abbu to arrive.

   After Abbu arrived to my office together with Nina. I explained to him what going on. At first, Abbu was very anxiously and try to meet Ummi and Noor, vbit after a lot of pleading and explaining from but me and Nina. He finally relents and ask to meet them after he is a bit calm.

     After finally calming down, I escort him to the ICU. We first stop at Ummi room, room 9, Abbu was heartbroken to see her like that. Wires connected to her body. Sensing he may want some time alone I left him in the room alone with her.

       After, a few minutes he came out of the room, and escort him to Noor's and her look alike room, that is room 10.
 
     The moment Abbu step into the room, he froze on his step. He just stood there mouth gaping. He was very shaken.
   Abbu asked to speak to me in my office after we finished discussion it is almost nightfall and Abbu is not feeling well, we agree to meet the next day.
