Wasting Time | (Jugpea)

Upon Arrival

Sweet Pea

I was nervously walking down the hall to the blue and gold classroom. I have no idea what I am gonna say to these people and I sure as hell don't know how to write. I stand at the door and contemplate what I am going to say. I put my hand on the door and push the door open.

I imminently see Jughead as he straightens up. Then I turn my head to see two scowling girls looking at me. "10 minutes late?" Betty asked me. "Sorry I just lost track time" I responded nervously. 

"Well meetings start at 3:15 sharp, assholes like you are included" Toni responded crossing her arms.  I only looked down and stood there. Then Jughead spoke "Okay Toni that is enough, its just gonna make things more awkward then this has to be." 

"What it isn't my fault that he is an asshole" Toni yelled then Betty put her hand in Toni's and gains her attention. "Hey its alright he isn't worth the fight, lets just get back to work." then they turned around to their respective work piles. 

I look back up and my eyes meet Jughead's. I walk forward and sat down in front of him. "Um hi" I said quietly. "Hi Sweet Pea" he greets "So what do you think you could do as a job?" Jughead asks.

"Um I dont know, I dont really write" I smile nervously. 

Jughead sighs. "Okay well we need and editor so if I help you do you think you could learn to do that could work?" he asks and then I nod "Uh yeah I could try" I agreed then he nodded back 

"Okay good so I have just finished the layout for next weeks paper" he tells me.

"Im going to put these supplies away and then Im gonna help you edit one of my papers." he tells me and I nod. 

...

"Okay we are getting out of here Jug text me when you get home okay?" I hear Toni say from behind me "Yeah please text me to Jug" Betty says right after. Then They both come up and kiss him on the cheek. I lifted my eyebrows, I didn't expect that.

They were just out the door when Toni yelled "See you later asshole make sure you show up on time next week!" as she made direct eye contact with me. I nod slightly and looked back at the desk as I heard the door shut. 

"Sorry about Toni she could be a little overprotective" Jughead smirks. I  shake my head "No I deserve it I am an asshole for what I did to you" I pause "I actually should apologize for what I had wrote, I had no idea I would have to read it out loud but that is still not an excuse." 

He nods "Right well just forgive and forget you aren't as much of an asshole as Reggie or Archie" he says avoiding eye contact. 

"They are assholes I might be their friend but I agree." I frown slightly thinking of the recent events that have happend. 

"Yeah well before the note you never really bothered me and with a little bit of help you can really do good with the paper" he complements me.

"Thanks a lot, this wasent as bad as I thought it would be" I smile and lift my phone. 5:30  great I'm going to be late. I get up and grab my bag "I'm really sorry Jughead but I have to go, I was suppost to be home by now." I explained.

He watches me stand up and pack my things "Okay well you don't need to be here till next Monday and we can talk about a schedule." 

I nod "Okay I will be here at 3:15 sharp so the girls wont be mad again" I chuckle and he smiles. "Yeah well Toni is usually less strict about it if you get to know her" he smiles.
