The whole place screamed sexist. It's like this guy went out of his way to get his interior decorator to make the place as masculine as possible. There were black leather chairs. Black steel and glass tables. The floor tiles were charcoal grey.

Lisa and I were now seated on one of those black chairs. Right on Che, the prince strolled into the room flagged by five guards. Shit, those are going to be tough to take out. He takes his seat at the head of the table and, with his chin in his hands, he stares at us.

"My men tell me you have some news with regards to the contract I put out for that woman." He says.

The way he says 'that woman' makes me want to slap him right across the face but I restrain myself.

"I take it it's been settled then." He continues.

Lisa eyes me for a moment before she turns to him.

"This is rather confidential information, wouldn't you agree?" She says, gesturing to the men in the room.

"These are my most trusted men. Whatever you have to say to me, you can say it in front of then." The prince says. "Now what do you have to say?"

"About the contract, you're going to call it off." She says confidently to him.

"Excuse me?" He snaps.

"In case you didn't hear me..." She begins.

Without finishing, she points her purse at one of the guards and shoots. Holy Molly it's a gun purse! I definitely want me one of those. There's a whole lot of confusion and rushing after Lisa pulls that stunt so I decide to join in on the fun. I grab a vase and smash it over one guy's head. I take out my hand gun and shoot another as he tries to get to me before shooting the one I had hit on the head with the vase. Lisa takes care of the other two.
Afterwards, we focus our attention on the prince once more.

"You won't get away with this. My people will hunt you down like dogs!" He yells.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say." I say to him before I shoot him on the kneecaps.

He screams out in pain.

"Now, about that contract old man." I say.

"Who are you? Why do you care about this?" He asks.

"Thank you for asking," I say as I pull the wig from my head.

I see no recognition on his face.

"Oh come on! You put out a hit on someone you don't even know?" I ask in frustration.

"Ivy, let's not lose focus here." Lisa says.

"Sure, right." I respond.

I turn back to the prince.

"Call it off, now." I say, pointing the gun straight at his head.

"If you kill me, my people will destroy your lives." He says.

"You said that already." I tell him. "What if I don't kill you? What if I go public with all the data I have on you guys? For all you know, I might just post everything on your computers and servers right here, right now."

I see him pale at the mention of this.

"Not so tough now, huh?" I ask with a wicked grin.

"Give me the records you have and I'll call off the contract." He says after a moment's thought.

"Do I look stupid to you?" I ask him. "Call it off right now or I'll bring this whole fucking place down!"

"Very well then." He says.

He raises his hands to show us he wasn't going to try something stupid and slowly takes out his tablet. He types something on the screen and before he presses send, he shows it to us. It's an order to call off the contract. I gesture with the gun for him to proceed.

"There, it's done. I've called it off." He says with an evil grin. "So what now? The contract may have been called off but there's no way you are getting off my property alive."

"You underestimate us. We would never come here without fully evaluating our options." Lisa says whilst holding up her tablet. "Whilst you were busy acting all smug, I hacked into your servers and downloaded all your data. Now I've just uploaded it and everything you've built will crumble."

"Who's done for now?" I ask with a smile.

I feel like doing a victory dance but I don't want to spoil the mood. Plus, there's still the probability that we are not getting out of this one alive. Lisa walks up to me.

"So, what do you want to do with this guy?" She asks.

"This piece of shit forfeit his life the moment he came after me." I reply.

This time I don't flinch. I pull the trigger. He did kind of deserve it, being the bad guy and all.

"Let's get out of here." Lisa says whilst grabbing her stuff.

"Good idea." I say.

We immediately make our way out the room.

Only shit hits the fan the moment we leave that room. Why? you ask. Simple.

A) My hand gun didn't have a silencer so his guards that were waiting outside the door right around the corner had heard those shots. Why they didn't burst into the room the first time around, well that's beyond me.

B) Well, we did just kill their boss and the silent code of honor amongst these crooks seems to be to avenge their fallen hero. Even if he was a douche.

C) All of the above.

So, ladies and gentlemen, it's safe to assume that the moment we hit the hallway the shots were flying everywhere. We took cover quickly.

"Stay here. I'll distract them." Lisa said whilst loading up her cartridge.

"What? No, Lisa, that's suicide!" I screamed at her whilst clutching my own hand gun.

"I've been in stickier situations." She says with a sad smile.

"Well you haven't been in them with me." I replied. "And I don't want to have to say goodbye to a friend."

Sure, sure, Lisa isn't my friend. At least I don't think she considers me a friend but I'm that girl who considers everyone a friend. After that day when I had thought Les was dead, I was pretty much traumatized for life.
So was I going to let the girl I now considered a friend because she helped me kick the ass of the dickhead who had wanted me dead go and get herself killed? Nope. She pretty much figured that out when she saw my expression.

"Stay behind me and try not to get yourself killed." She said with a naughty grin.

Smiling at her, I nodded. The bullets were still raining when we charged in, guns blazing and all.
