Kim Seokjin

Seokjin is the oldest member of the group. (In case you didn't know age plays a big role in Korea. The oldest one is usually supposed to take care and help raising the younger or youngest one/s.)

Stage Name: Jin
Full Name: Kim Seokjin
Position: Vocalist, oldest member
Age: 27 (December 4th 1992)

Jin is often described as the funny one of the group. He might be the oldest and he's very good at taking care of the other members but at the same time he's still often seen as a part of the maknae line. That's why he's also often reffered to as the 'fake maknae'. Jin's dad jokes and his 'individual' laugh are both things he's best known for. By 'individual' I'm reffering to the iconic 'windshield wiper laugh' meme. (See this is an example why introduction videos are often way more helpful.) Anyways as I already mentioned Jin is very good at taking care of the other members. He's often reffered to as the mom of the group but since this was originally an inside joke between the members I think it's kind of disrespectful to call him that. No doubt he's a wonderful parent and takes good care of his children together with Namjoon but I wouldn't call him 'mom'.
(Yes Jin and Namjoon are a married couple and yes I'm kidding in case you're a new Army) I kinda get it though since he has a lot of sterotypical female features but he made it very clear that he doesn't like to be called any female names including 'mom' or 'princess' so we should respect that.
Jin has a very sweet personality and is always there to listen. He's usually the one who makes the food for the others because he loves to cook and is also very good at it.

Jin was the 4th member to join BTS and never had the intention to become a singer or performer. He originally studied to become an actor and when he joined BigHit he had no experience at dancing nor singing. Jin got selected because of his good looks by a representative from BigHit entertainment who saw him while he was exiting a bus and convinced him to audition. His lack of experience caused him to work harder than everyone else during the predebut times. He practised a lot and worked extra hard to at least be on the other members level. You can tell that his hard work payed off because now he's an amazing vocalist with a good range and incredible high notes. His voice is very individual in general and his singing is just beautiful. His dancing is also very good even though the others often still make fun of it. During choreographies he's often positioned in the back along with Namjoon but I think it's because of his height and not because of his dancing skills.
Jin is very good at making the other members laugh but most importantly he's even better at making himself laugh XD.

Jin also has the level of confidence literally everybody wishes for. He often calls himself handsome and has given himself the nickname "worldwide handsome" as a joke. Since it fits him so well and I don't think anyone would dissagree the nickname has stuck with him and now it's pretty much like his second name yOu kNoW..

Jin loves his fans with all his heart and out of all the members he's probably the best at expressing how much he loves Army. He just has so much love to give and it's just so beautiful to see how much the group and their fanbase mean to him. In 2017 he started a surprise project where he randomly pulled out paper hearts after telling his fans how much he loves them. The project was called the surprise heart event and continued throughout the whole tour. One of the things he's also known for is blowing kisses to his fans. He's just amazing and I can't imagine BTS without him. Thinking of him joining the military next year makes me really sad. I know that's very selfish and he even said that he feels totally ready but I just can't imagine him not being with the other members. (I mean in general I know they aren't together 24/7) But anyways that's nothing for us to decide so let's just support him no matter what and protect his sweet soul.
