nessa reads over the message around five more times before she starts to feel the anxiety in her chest suffocate her.

after 5 months of not seeing or even speaking to josh she's going to be around him next weekend.

when she and mikey made it official, there was a heated argument over facetime and then that was it. their friendship had ended just like that and no closure has been given to either of them since. nessa blocked josh on all platforms and deleted his number. he hurt her badly.

josh forbid his friends from mentioning her name when he was in the room. she hurt him badly.

not being friends with josh allowed nessa to focus on mikey and eventually she did start to grow actual feelings for him- strong ones that she's thankful for. she wouldn't go as far to say that she loves mikey but she does care about him deeply and he her.

they spend as much time with each other as they can. he flys out to new jersey every third weekend and when nessa has jobs to do in LA, she stays with him at his house. their relationship is still fresh and healthy and it's fairly obvious that they do make each other happy.

nessa's online profile has grown massively over the past couple of months and she's verified on social media too.

but although she has all these distractions going on in her life, nessa can't ignore the ache that has stayed with her since that facetime. since that day she lost her best friend.

she wishes with everything she has that they weren't stubborn people and could talk it over with each other like adults but she knew that wouldn't happen because in josh's eyes, she's in the wrong and in nessa's eyes, he is. but this weekend- when they're together- what's stopping them from sorting things out.
