May I Borrow the Stars?

May I borrow the stars,
To help me through the night,
And to give me a little light?
I promise not to keep them long,
Only until the dark is gone,
And the sun shines through all of this wrong.
The stars might not be too bright,
But they will give me a little fight,
And make the darkness take flight.
So may I borrow the stars,
For at least tonight?
