Dove in the Garden

By creativegrace

There is a dove that landed on the fence post,
How lucky I am to be his backyard host!
He has feathers of grey and white,
I hope he will not leave me and take flight!

He sits primply there,
And all I can do is stare.
Small and full of grace,
Small feathers neatly covering his face.

Though soon he must fly away,
And I wish he would stay.
Maybe he will come back tomorrow,
And i will feed him a little toast,
As he sits on the fence post.

So this is one of my poems, and I hope you like it! I've been trying to find some quarentine poems, so look out for another update with a few of those.
If anyone has any poems or authors you would like to see in here, please comment!
Again, stay safe and stay positive!
