I hadn't realized it but I had fallen asleep on his shoulder and he had packed me into the car and I woke when we were in my driveway.

"Over already?" I asked sleepily.

"Sadly, plus we have school tomorrow so I didn't want to keep you out so late," he replied, voice sounding sad.

"What time even is it?" I asked, yawning and stretching around in the car.

"8:30."

I blinked a couple times and looked towards my house. The porch lights were still on but the lights on the inside were off. Strange.

"I'll walk you to the door," he said nervously.

I didn't say anything just opened my door and stepped out sleepily, then stretching and yawning.

I began shuffling towards the front door and was able to make out a note on the door. Before I could do anything he was beside me, his hand lightly brushing against mine and suddenly I wasn't tired anymore.

We walked up to the door, both of us shuffling slowly not saying anything.

I stepped up onto the porch and grabbed the note on the door, scanning it quickly.

Mia, we went out to dinner. Thought you and your guy wouldn't be back soon. Hope you had a nice time!

I shoved the note in my pocket and turned towards, Ash, letting out a sigh and smiling sleepily at him.

"I had a good time today, totally beats sitting inside and watching TV or reading my book for the millionth time." I said, locking my eyes on his.

"Good, but why keep reading the same book over and over again?" He asked, slightly blushing.

"I don't know... Just let's me escape into the world I wasn't I guess."

He stepped up onto the step and leaned on the rail, "What's it about?"

I smiled and held up one finger, silently telling him to hold on and slipped inside the door, grabbing the book from the inside table. Closing the for behind me, I looked down at the book, bent cover and pages beginning to wear from being handled so much.

I looked down at him, still resting on the railing and handed him the book, "Read it yourself and find out," I said smiling.

He grinned and took the book, running his hand over the cover, then holding it at his side and looked back up at me.

I didn't know what else there was to say or do, we were just staring into eachothers eyes. It might have been awkward to some people but for some reason it made me feel warm and secure. I hardly knew the guy but, like I said, I felt like Id known him forever.

I was getting lost in his eyes, those dark brown eyes. But then he started getting closer. Why was he getting closer?? I caught my breath and he reached out grabbing my hand. Then to my surprise he didn't come any closer just looked me in the eye and kissed my hand.

I felt my cheeks burn and could only imagine how red they must be.

"Saw that in Titanic, always wanted to try it," he said laughing.

"Never watched it," I said.

His mouth fell open in shock, I guess.

"Okay, we are going to watch it. I can't believe you haven't watched that movie. I mean it's an OK movie but still."
