Chapter 25: It's Finally Over

Y/n POV:
Corbyn: Well now you know the stories
Griffin: I didn't realize that you've known them that long
Y/n: Well I met you guys the next year
Griffin: That's true
Payton: The second I saw you I knew I loved you
Ev: Aww
Y/n: I love you Payt
Payton: I love you too
Jonah: Sorry to ruin the moment, but we need to get to the station
Y/n: What's going on?
Zach: They have to ask you a few questions
Y/n: I didn't even know Avani was a part of it. How am I supposed to answer questions?
Payton: Do the best you can. We'll be there with you, and they somewhat know what you've been through
Josh: They won't pressure you into answering anything you're not sure about
Y/n: That's good
Jonah: Well let's head over there. Payton-
Payton: I'm not letting her out of my sight
Jonah: Good
Zach: I'll tell you what Logan once told me. Don't let her out of your arms
Payton: I didn't plan on it
Daniel: That's exactly what Zach said back
Zach: Sure is
Y/n: So it's over? They're gone?
Josh: They won't bother you again
Jonah: Well on that note let's get going

We all get into our cars and drive to the station. Payton is holding me close being sure that he won't lose me again. I bury my head deeper into his shoulder and pull myself closer to him. I don't want to lose him either. I feel him hug me tighter and give me a gentle kiss on my forehead. I look up at him and smile softly. He smiled back and without looking away from me asked where we were.

Payton: Hey Josh how far are we?
Josh: Not far at all
Payton: Alright
Josh: She asleep?
Y/n: No I'm not
Josh: That's a first
Y/n: Shut up would ya
Josh: Okay okay I'll let you stare at your boyfriend
Y/n: Good
Paige: Give then a break Joshy. We just found her a couple hours ago. It's been 6 weeks remember
Josh: Yeah I know and I understand why they want to see each other, we'll be going home soon
Paige: I forgot about that. I'm gonna miss you
Josh: I'm gonna miss you too. Still have a crush on me?
Paige: Wait what!?
Josh: *smirks* I said do you still have a crush on me?

Josh: Y/n's room is right next to mine. I can hear everything you two talk about on the phone
Y/n: I knew you listening but no you can't admit to it
Josh: Go back to staring at your boyfriend

Griffin: He has a fair point Payton, you two have been staring at each other for a while now

Griffin: Fair enough
Josh: Stop bullying Griffin he's bigger than you remember

Josh: Payton
Paige: That's enough. All of you

Paige: Not interested Griff

Josh: Making moves huh?

Griffin: Hey you watch it, I'm bigger than you remember
Payton: So is Josh and I'm not scared of him
Y/n: That's cause he's a teddy bear
Josh: So is Griffin

Everyone goes quiet again and I look back at Payton. He smiles down at me.

Payton: I've missed you
Y/n: I've missed you more
Josh: I meant to ask you Y/n. Why didn't you tell us Jackson was forcing you to come outside. You should've told us
Y/n: I don't know I just thought I could handle myself
Payton: It hurts that even with all of us out there wasn't enough to save you. I'm sorry Y/n
Y/n: It's okay Payton. What happened, happened
Josh: But if you would've told us that never would've happened. You would've never gone outside and Jackson would have never laid a finger on you
Payton: Josh calm down
Josh: NO THIS NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU DIDN'T ALWAYS THINK THAT YOU COULD HANDLE YOURSELF
Y/n: CAN YOU STOP? I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys but THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO KEEP BRINGING BACK A STUPID DECISION I MADE IN THE PAST. I WAS UNDER A LOT OF PRESSURE AND FEAR. OKAY? I couldn't handle the pressure Jackson was putting on me. I'm scared of him.
Payton: And you have every right to be but it's all over now so let's forget about it okay

Payton pulls me close to calm me down. He runs his thumb down my spine and I feel safe immediately. This boy really knows how what makes me weak and I love him for it. I look up and smile and him and he gives me a sympathetic smile back. That smile turns into a smirk.

Payton: Calm now?
Y/n: Well obviously
Payton: *chuckles* You know I love you right?
Y/n: I love you too
Griffin: Okay you two
Y+P: What?
Josh: We're here

We get out and begin to walk inside when I feel someone grab my arm and pull me back.

Josh: Hey I'm sorry okay
Y/n: It's okay Josh. I know you didn't mean it. You're my brother after all

Josh smile and let go and I walked back to Payton who had stopped to make sure I was okay. I grab his hand and Josh walks by. Payton leans close to my ear.

Payton: *whispers* You okay?
Y/n: *whispers* He was just apologizing
Payton: *whispers* Alright

We walk to the station and they walk us back to the room immediately.

OD: Okay Y/n, tell me about what happened after you were taken
Y/n: Well......
