S:3 Chapter 8: Operation Coupling

Y/n POV:
Paige: You wanna continue listening to music?
Y/n: Not right now, I'm tired
Paige: I can see that you're worried Y/n
I stay silent I look out of the corner of my eye and see Payton looking in my direction. I look back at Paige
Y/n: What if I am? It doesn't matter anyway
Paige: Y/n I really don't think you need to go into that room
Y/n: Maybe you're right. Even if she isn't there, that room is hell to me
Paige: We're with you every step
She places her hand on top of mine and smiles brightly. She glances toward Payton and I feel his hand fit into mine. I smile to myself as I look back at Paige. She hands me an AirPod knowing that I want to distract myself from freaking out over Payton. I grab the AirPod and we listen to music. I feel myself begin to drift off. I avoid falling asleep in order to spare myself from another nightmare but I turn my attention back to Payton's hand and I feel safe. I turn my attention back to the music when I feel Paige nudge me toward Payton. Not aware enough of the situation, I allow my head to fall onto his shoulder. I close my eyes immediately feeling safe. I feel Payton's hand slip out of mine and I notice his arm fall over my shoulders. I snuggle closer and allow myself to drift off.

Paige POV:
I notice Y/n beginning to drift off. I nudge her softly so that she allows her head to fall onto his shoulder. He looks at me and puts his arm around her. He then lays his head on hers and closes his eyes. I quickly go to my messages and text Dylan. His head peeps over the seat and he smiles at them. He then gives me a thumbs up before turning back around. I then see Josh turn around acting the same way Dylan does and he turns back around. I take a picture and send it to Cash. He immediately texts back

Texts: Cash:
Cash: FINALLY!!!!!!
Paige: IKR!!!! They're so cute!!
Cash: He ask her out yet?
Paige: Nope
Cash: We need to get them together and soon
Paige: I'm trying

I text the group chat

Texts: "Operation get Y/n and Payton together"
Paige: Okay guys, we're making progress but he still hasn't asked her out yet
Dylan: He's my best friend, I'll talk to him
Cash: Me and Maverick can keep Y/n distracted while you do that
Maverick: Without a doubt, she hasn't seen us in a while so it'll be easy
Paige: Perfect, Jordi I'll make sure to FaceTime you tonight, Y/n needs to hear some of your wisdom
Jordi: Of course! How far from Minnesota are you guys anyway?
Josh: About an hour
Paige: I'll call you as soon as we land
Jordi: Got it, I'll prepare my speech
Paige: Good
Josh: Maybe you could call me now 😉
Paige: Back off my bestie Josh
Josh: I'm just saying
Maverick: Josh stop flirting
Josh: I'm not-
Dylan: Don't deny it dude
Josh: Whatever I'm going to sleep. Don't forget to wake up Y/n and Payton
Paige: I'll let them sleep for a while
Dylan: Just don't forget that they're asleep
Paige: How could I forget? They're in the direction for me to get off of the plane anyway
Dylan: Fair enough
Jordi: So you're calling me as soon as you're off the plane?
Josh: You could call me now
Paige: JOSH
Josh: Okay okay I'm going to sleep now
Paige: Yes Jordi I will
Jordi: Alright, I'll go prepare my speech for Y/n
Paige: Good

I put my phone away and look back over at Y/n and Payton. There just so cute together, maybe Payton will realize it soon.

1 hour later.....
Paige: Payton, Y/n wake up
I shake Y/n slightly which wakes her up quickly. She gives me an evil look before raising her head off of Payton's shoulder. She turns to Payton to wake him up. He looks at her and smiles lightly before turning Dylan behind us. We grab our carry-ons and get off of the plane. I immediately call Jordi

FaceTime: Jordi
Jordi: You're off the plane!!!!
Paige: Yep we are!!!!
Jordi: Finally!!! Where's Y/n?
Y/n: I'm right here
Jordi: Hey Girl!!
Y/n: Hey!!
Paige: Hey Y/n look

I point up ahead at Cash and Maverick waiting for us. She runs toward them and jumps into Cash's arms. He catches and and they hug. I catch up and pull at her shoulder
Paige: Okay okay, my turn
I hand the phone to Y/n and I hug Cash. Y/n gives Maverick a hug and Josh steals my phone right out of her hand.
Y/n: JOSH
She pulls away from Maverick trying to grab the phone.
Maverick: Josh stop bullying your sister
He grabs my phone out of his hand and gives my phone back to me

FaceTime: Jordi:
Paige: Sorry about that
Jordi: It's all good <laughs> hello to you too Josh
Josh: Hi!

Jonah: Uhhhh guys?
Corbyn: Is there a problem?
Jonah: The body is missing again
Daniel: Wait, how?
Jonah: It says that the body was found on the zip line not too long ago, it was then moved to a ditch, and now it's missing again
Jack: Wait, a ditch?
Jonah: One of the ditches outside of the mansion
Y/n: Oh my God

Y/n begins to stumble a bit but Payton quickly helps her balance. He holds onto her arm to keep her steady. We walk to a bench and he sits down with her. He places an arm around her and rubs her arm gently. Dylan sits down on the other side of her and pulls her close. She places her head on his shoulder.

Y/n POV:
Dylan: Hey we're going to find her
Y/n: How can you be so sure? Whoever is behind the moving of her body clearly doesn't want it found
Dylan: We're not giving up okay
Zach: And if you ever need a break just let us know
Y/n: Thanks guys, I just hope we can find her
Dylan: We do too
Y/n: Josh?
Josh: Yeah?
Y/n: Tell me about Jason
Josh: I don't know who that is
Y/n: Yes you do, don't lie to me
Josh: Y/n you don't want to know about Jason
Y/n: And why not?
Josh: You just don't
Dylan: Actually Josh, we need to know, it could be essential to this case
Josh: No way

He walks off leaving us there on the bench. Jonah follows after him along with Maverick

Paige: Y/n.....
Y/n: It's fine, whatever, he wants to keep information about my biological family from me then that's fine

Payton pulls me into a hug and I immediately break down. I feel him tracing the back of my spine. I breathe more normal and close my eyes to relax.
