S:2 Chapter 17: Charges?

Y/n POV:
Dad: Yeah. So Y/n, do you want to?
I shake my head and everyone looks at me confused
Josh: Y/n he shattered your wrist
I look down slightly
Mom: Honey you need to understand that he did not do that by accident. He meant to
Dad: Besides, he came to our house just for that. Just to shatter your wrist
Josh: Why don't you want to press charges?
I look back at Payton. He nods in response
Payton: She wants to find the good in him, pressing charges might make him even angrier
I nod to make sure they know that what he's saying is true
Dad: I guess that would make since. Just please have Mike and the boys with you everywhere. Understood?
I nod again
Dad: Good, Dylan, Josh, do not let her out of your sight and Payton, don't let her leave her room without you
Payton: I'll make sure to keep an eye on her
Dad: Good
Mom: Thank you Payton
Payton: It's no problem at all
Dad: Because we want you with someone at all times, we found someone you might want to meet
Josh: Dad you didn't
Mom: He did Josh
Dylan: I'm sorry, who?
Suddenly there's a knock on the door. It opens to reveal someone who looks about a couple years older than Dylan and I. I look over at mom and dad with a confused look on my face. They look at me with a slight smile. I look at Dylan who looks as confused as I am.
Dad: Dylan, Y/n, meet Jason
Dylan: I'm going to ask for both of us. Who's Jason?
Mom: Jason is your brother, he's two years older than you both
Dylan: But how do we not remember you? Jason?
Jason: I was living with Aunt Talia from almost the time I was born, and after dad was, you know
Dylan: Yes we do know
I nod my head sadly. Payton begins to rub my back slightly
Jason: Well mom decided to take me with her when she fled, we never really officially met
Dylan: So you're telling me that this entire time I had a brother!?
Josh: Dude!
Dylan: Besides you Josh
Josh: Whatever
Dad: Enough Josh. Twins, Jason is here for a reason
Jason: I'm sorry I haven't ever visited, but I had to come and see you
Dylan: Jason what's going on?
Jason: It's mom, she went missing not too long ago and Aunt Talia is no where to be found
Dylan: You don't think?
Jason: No. Aunt Talia moved to France about a year ago
Dylan: We know, Y/n stayed with her when she went to France
Jason: And why is she not?-
Dylan: Surgery
Jason: Got it. Anyway, who's this?
He points at Payton with a puzzled look. I decide to not make anyone speak as I pull Payton into a kiss
Jason: Oh great, tiny's got a boyfriend
Dylan: Tiny?
Jason: That's what I called Y/n when she was born. You were just Dylan and she was Tiny. Tiny has a boyfriend so listen here, watch it
Payton: Um....
Josh: Jason leave him alone
Jason: Josh! My man almost didn't recognize you
Josh: But I literally- never mind. Leave Payton alone
Jason: Payton huh?
He walks over toward Payton. I stand up and glare at him. He backs up
Jason: Fine, I'll back off
Dylan: She's powerful when it comes to defending Payton
Josh: Or a glass of lemonade
I run for the kitchen
Dad: Josh
Josh: On it
I'm quickly picked up by Josh and he brings me back into the living room, dropping me to the floor. I whimper quietly and run to Payton.
Jason: Cute. I'm not kidding Payton, mess up and you'll regret it
Payton stayed quiet as he glared at Josh for dropping me on the floor
Jason: Fine I'll leave him alone Y/n.
Dylan: So back to the reason you're here Jason

Jason: Right. Right after dad was killed, mom moved off to Minnesota. She was later found by police and was taken into custody
Dylan: Did she?
Jason: Dad was murdered when he found out that mom was having an affair, you two were asleep in the house when her boyfriend shot dad. She called Mark asking if he'd adopt you two obviously he said yes and Mom along with her boyfriend fled. They were later found and he was arrested, she was taken into custody later released but went missing after he was given life in prison
Dylan: Where was she found?
Jason: No one knows, there's an investigation out to find her. I've wanted to help find her but I have to have an adult with me, that's why I'm here, Mark?
Dad: We'd love to help you out Jason. We're driving to Minnesota tomorrow at dawn. The investigation starts in two days, get some rest
Josh: Dad-
Dad: Josh we're all going to find B/Mom. She has to be out there somewhere. Thank you for informing us about the situation Jason and after all of this is over, we'll be happy to take you in
Jason: Thank you so much Mark
Dad: Everyone is dismissed. I recommend you all get some rest, Y/n careful with your wrist, and we will have breakfast and head out
We all leave to living room and I go straight to my room. Payton follows close behind me. I lie down on my bed and watch as Payton walks in behind me. He lies down beside me pulling me close.
Payton: *Everything will be okay Y/n, I love you*
I look up at him leaving a quick kiss before burying my head into his chest. He runs his hand through my hair and I feel myself drifting to sleep. He kisses the top of my head and continues playing with my hair. I eventually drift off with happiness but worries in my head.
