Chapter #3: The Deal

"Let's make a deal"

Sooyoung was running away from home in anger without noticing her surrounding and when She finally feels tired she stopped and realized she was somewhere she is not familiar with, this is not the neighborhood she used to live in after all. She tried to find her phone but she remembered she put them inside her handbag and she left them at her father's place. She run without even thinking.  She cursed herself millions of times, kicking the air as she tried to catch her breath until she gave up at the situation. 
"This is all that idiot's fault" She screamed in frustration as she looks around her, It's already dark outside and no one is there. She then just walking to nowhere and trusting her in instinct, while she keeps grumbling about how it's not fair, how everything doesn't make senses and how Sungjae is an idiot.  

All this time Sungjae was there, taking a distance from her but he could still clearly listen to whatever she is saying. He didn't even feel that offended, he thinks that she is being ridiculous right now. He followed every steps of her.
Sooyoung on the other hand suddenly noticed that someone is actually following her. Feeling like herself might be in danger. She quickly fastens her steps, trying to avoid the person that is following her. She was about to run when someone caught her by the arm. She shrieked, closing her eyes. "Please..please please don't kill me.. I don't have anything right now... please just let me go ..please please" She said with fear on her face, not having enough courage to see. Yet the person that held her stayed silent. She was curious then slowly she opened her eyes only to see the person, that annoying face she wanted to punch. Yook Sungjae trying to prevent himself from laughing but he burst out soon. "You are being hilarious, Sooyoung!" He laughed loudly, pissing her off even more. "Damn! What are you even doing here?!" She yelled at him, yanking her hand from him. "Well, It's night and you are a girl. You are lost and you probably don't have your wallet and phone. And I might be the only one who can help you" He smiled at her, yet she could feel that he is actually mocking her. "Also I have something to talk to you" he added.

"I don't wanna hear anything from your mouth." She glared at him, turning around as she start taking a step again. "Just want to tell you that's a dead-end" he said making her turning herself back. She doesn't want to lower her pride but if she didn't she will lost again anytime soon. "Show me the way!" "After you agree to listen to my words" She only stared at him, for a second. He was grinning, from ear to ear "So?" "Fine. I'm listening."

"Let's make a deal" he started the conversation, his expression changed from playful to serious. She was confused and it shows. "I mean let's make a deal. Let's just tell our parents we want to get married. I mean they are not gonna give up." "You have your dream...I have mine as well. If we keep refusing their idea I don't know what will happen. For me, my father will force me to start taking over the company which I'm not ready yet. And for you, your dad probably going to make you stay and meet thousands of more candidates to marry. Aren't you tired of that?" Sooyoung expression was blank as she tried to process all his words. "But listen, If we agree with this plan of mine. This could be a win-win solution for both of us." She doesn't want to admit but she knows that what he said is true, Her dad is actually starting to become annoying by keep asking if she got a boyfriend or no. Sometimes telling her to get married since he is not getting any younger. "So what's the plan?" 

"Okay, now listen to my brilliant plan. We told them yes. Than if...if we ever get married for real. Let's just do it. Let's says we stay married for 6 months or a year then we divorce after that just tell them we fell out of love."
"But.."
"I promise I will not gonna control you and I will let you to be free, I will not stick my nose on your business as I want you to do so...what do you think?" 
Sooyoung once again only staring at him blankly. His offer was not bad but what if he tricked her? He is a jerk after all. She hates him the most.
"I swear I will not touch you too if that's what you are afraid of" he added to make her sure.
"I will keep my distance from you since I know you hate me"
She looked at him, there's something that hurts her when she heard that words yet he wasn't wrong she hates him. But this is like a win-win solution.
She sighed. Finally giving up on the situation. Better marry someone I know then divorce him later than going to meet thousands of men. "Fine."
"Great! It's a deal then?" His lips formed a wide smile, which melts Sooyoung a little. Sungjae extended his hand gesturing her for a handshake yet she only stared at him.
"Alright you probably don't want to touch me but that's the deal and you can't back out"
"Deal".

On the way home with him, she was thinking super hard if her choice is right or no. She will marry the man she hates the most for this past 10 years but on the other hand, she still wants to be free.

Well, I have plenty of time to update since I am now working from home and so stressed.
