The day goes by fast. Abby and I help each other find our classes. We have first, fourth, lunch and eight and ninth together. Finally the last period comes.

Abby and me walk into the gym and sit on the bleachers. The gym is full. All the track, CrossCountry, soccer, basketball, softball, and volleyball girls are sitting on the bleachers.

All the coaches introduce themselves and explain what we will be doing for the rest of the year. They tell us to bring clothes tomorrow and that we start practice tomorrow.

We head into the locker room and get our lockers. I get paired with a volleyball player, her name is Naileen. As soon as Abby sees her she freaks, the hug and start a conversation.
As soon as they're done they walk up to me with another girl.

"Jozannah this is Naileen, she's my cousin and she's a junior, and this is Shelsey she's one of my best friends and she's a sophomore."

We all introduce ourselves and we actually all got along really good. Abby is sharing a locker with Shelsey close to ours and Naileen and I share another one.

The bell rings and we all go home.

I walk into the house and immediately go to the kitchen. I grab a granola bar and a water. I see a white piece of paper on the fridge.

Went to grandmas with your father and the girls. There's Panda Express in the fridge. We'll be back by tomorrow.
Take care, love you,
Mom.

I throw the piece of paper away and head to my room. I lay down on my bed and here a buzz. I grab my phone and see that I have a text message. Its from Abby. I gave all the girls my numbers and they gave me theirs earlier at school.

Abby💪: The girls and me are gonna do a quick workout in the gym😝Wanted to know if you wanted to come? We can get a bite to eat with the guys after😏

Me: Sounds good Abs👌💁

Abby💪: K see you in half an hour at the westside gym✌️

Me: see you there. K bye🙋

I get up and change, I put on basketball shorts, some nike black socks, my black and white basketball shoes and a black dri-fit shirt. I put my hair up and decide to walk since its not that far. I grab my keys and phone and walk out the door.
