Captain

Friday finally comes and I'm literally so nervous. Our coach decided that we wouldn't have practice today. I'm really sore so I decide to wear something comfortable.

I get into the shower and strip my clothes off. The hot water feels really good on my muscles. I get out and wrap the towel on my body. I head to my room and dry my hair. I put it up in a pony tail. I put on black sweats, red roshes and a black shirt.

I grab my backpack and my phone. I say goodbye to my parents and tell them that I'll be staying at Naileens for the night. I head out and drive to school.

Once I get to school Naileen rushes to me.

"Ohhh gurl I heard you and Cam were a thing now?" She asks winking

I laugh "no were not a thing, we're just friends" I say

"Sure whatever. Yesterday Cameron was telling everyone how you guys were going on a date. And he was really excited" she says raising her eyebrows.

"It's just a date. No biggie" I say shrugging.

"No biggie my ass" I try not to smile "you like him!" She yells

I quickly cover her mouth. We laugh and head to class. I haven't seen all the guys in a while. Some of them are home schooled. Only Hayes, Jack J., Nash, Carter, and Matt go to school. Cameron is done with school and the rest of the boys are homeschooled as well as Mahogany.

As lunch comes around I'm more and more nervous. This date thing has my mind going crazy. Everytime I think of my date with Cam I feel butterflies in my stomach. I just hope everything goes right. At least we're going to the movies.

The last class of the day comes around. I have basketball so the girls and me change and head out to the gym except Abby who goes to the track outside.

"Okay ladies we chose captains over the week for each team."

She names the captains for freshmen and JV.

"The captain for Varsity is Jozannah and the co-captain is Shelsey."
She hands us our leatherman jackets. Wow I didn't know I was chosen.

Some girls don't look so happy and I hear some insults from some girls.

We are dismissed and head inside. As I'm going towards my locker I feel someone push me from behind causing me to almost trip.

I see Pricilla, a junior from varsity, behind me.

"Just letting you know that the only reason you and your little bitch ass friend are captains is because ya'll are little suck ups." She starts to walk away but says something before "watch your back."

Okay then. Guess Shelsey and Me got some competition. I'm not scared of her, but i am sure not going to let her intimidate me. I change grab my stuff and leave with Naileen.
