I pull up to Castle BBQ's driveway and get out of the car. I grab my purse along with my phone and lock it up. I walk into the BBQ and immediately smell baby back ribs and burgers. My stomach growls as i search for one of the girls.
I see Naileen and Abby talking and laughing in one of the booths in the back. As I get closer they get up letting me slide in.
"Hey Jozannah" Abby says smiling
"Hey girls what's up?" I say.
We start talking and catching up. Naileen tells me about how her and Matt are planning to go to the same college and Abby tells me about how stressful it is for girls to be up on Hayes. I laugh at Abby's stress. Hayes and her are barely 14 and they're already "in love".
I bring up the topic of Shelsey's surprise birthday party.
"You know what I think?" Naileen says.
"What?" Abby and I ask in unison.
"I think Shelsey is head over heels about Jack. And I'm pretty sure Jack likes her back" Naileen says
Abby and I nod. We all are silent and start thinking.
"Those two lover birds-"
I'm cut off by Shelsey and Valeria joining us on the booth.
We all start talking about random things and about the boys. We order our food. I order a burger and so does Abby. Naileen and Valeria order chicken Alfredo and Shelsey orders chicken strips.
We get dessert after. We order cheesecake except for Naileen who orders pumpkin pie. What a wierd one she is.
"This cheese cake is really good" Valeria says.
We all nod in agreement.
