I walk in and go to the kitchen. I drop my stuff on the floor. As I'm getting water I hear my mother yell.
"Jozannah! You home?" She yells
"Yeah I'm in the kitchen" i reply sitting down on a stool.
"Jozannah" she says walking in "your father is very upset." She says
"Why?" I ask in confusion.
"Because you didn't tell him about going camping. And you know how he is. He wants you to focus on basketball and doesn't want other things distracting." She says sternly
I hate when they do this. They act as if I were a little girl. I don't even get distracted. I focus. I get straight A's and i practice day and night.
"Well that's why I told you so you could tell him. And I don't get distracted you know that. If I wouldn't be focused then I wouldn't of had made it to varsity" I snap back.
"Sweetie you know that he just wants to help you" she says
"Yeah I know, I'm sorry" I say giving her a weak smile.
And with that I go upstairs and take my stuff locking myself in my room.
Ever since middle school my father has always gotten after me for every single little thing. He always critiques me and gets mad at me. I know that what he's doing is for my best and that he just wants to help me but sometimes I need a break. I decide to take a nap and rest since tomorrow I have school. I check the time. 5:54pm. I connect my phone and get into bed. I close my eyes and drift into a deep sleep.
