" That was way too close Koko!" I said in the car on the way home.
"I know, I know, but the host club...." She trailed off with a smile.
"You really like them don't you?" I said more then asked.
" They are like real life princes!" She squeeled.
"I don't know about that," I thought out loud thinking of Kyoya. What a Baka! And if Koko and I helped Haruhi pay off her debt then we would see him everyday. Kyoya.... Every day. Ugh. I shuttered at the thought.
"How will we keep our secret though? Kyoya is going to look further into our past and business. I did my best covering everything up but he could still find something..." I trailed off.
"But we have the medicine, AND we will be together," she pointed out.
"Your right, we would have to take a higher dosage though. I'd have to get more out of storage," I said turning into our driveway.
"We have to help Haruhi though, she's the sweetest person ever Meu. I know she is, and she needs our help," Koko persisted.
" I don't know.... Maybe we will try for one week on a trial basis and if I feel like our secret is at too high of a risk or that your not keeping up with school or that it's overall too much we quit. I'm sure Haruhi would be fine without our help, but mom did say it was our duty to help others when we can," I said with a sad sigh, mom used to say a lot of things. None of which helped her much in the end. Koko nodded and I pulled into our driveway slowly making sure the garage door was completely shut before unlocking the doors for Koko and I to get out. You can never be too careful. The medicine definitely worked but the dosage was not even close to high enough. It had only been an hour since school let out and our ears were already back to their normal furry point that we couldn't even try to cover with our hair and both of our tails were sticking out of our skirts. Koko's dark hair blended with the black fur of her ears minus their white tips. Her tail was the same night like hue. I on the contrary had the opposite, my long hair was almost white blonde, that I got from my mother. My ears were pure white along with my tail. I always had looked more like mom and Koko, like dad.
"Do we have enough medicine?" Koko asked her eyebrows scrunched in worry.
"We have a good amount at the moment but need be I know the ingredients so I can try to get some supplies from one of our pharmacies and try to make some more," I said with a shrug.
"Hey missy don't you have homework?" I remembered as I saw her backpack hidden in the corner. She avoided eye contact and became very busy with cleaning her ears.
"Well......" She trailed off.
"Well nothing, get to work missy!Once I finish up some paperwork I'll get started dinner," I said scooting her into her room. She meowed in annoyance but after a few minutes gave in and got to work. I made my way across the house into the office. After the horrible fire everything we had was either destroyed or damaged immensely, leaving Koko and I with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Luckily I was able to go around some of the laws with our companies lawyers and got full custody of Koko since I was her only living relative. I bought a house the very next week near ouran's campus and the rest is history. It was the only house in the area with tinted windows so Koko and I didn't have to worry about being on the medication 24/7. It wasn't harmless really, it just made some of our genetics dormant for a very short period of time. If used in a high enough dosage it could make the gene permanently dormant. It took me only a few hours to sort our all of the companies business. The Onami corporation was in the hotel business we owned a hotel in every major city in the world and a few resorts in the islands. The competition was rough though I was doing my best to keep it all a float but it was pretty tough. I made some spaghetti uber quick and finished up my homework while it was cooking. I could have gone up two levels but I didn't want the extra work to take on.
"Koko! Dinner!" I screamed across the house. A few seconds later I heard nails scratching against the floor.
"Hey! No claws on the wood!" I said annoyed as she came in on all fours.
"It feels so good to run that way thoughhhhh," she whined scratching her ear.
"The wood! Not on the wood!" I sighed banging my head on the table. Sometimes I wish we could just be normal. It's really hard to explain to a realtor why there are claw marks all over the place.
"Oooo yummy!" She said and plopped down with a bowl.
"So how did your first day go, did you make any friends," I asked with a smile sitting across from her.
"Maybe, there's a girl named Momo in my class who's really nice. We went to lunch together," she said before filling her mouth with food.
"That's great! I'm so proud of you!"
"What about you Onnii? Did you make any friends," she asked curiously. I thought about it for a second. I had never really had any 'friends', growing up I had spent all my time with my parents. They were all I needed.
"I made an enemy, that's kind of like a friend I guess...." I trailed off Kyoyas cold gaze popping into my head. Baka.
"Meu...." She whined.
"Hey you can't nag me, I'm the big sister here!" I said messing up her hair.
"Do you think you will?" Hmmm.
"Maybe," I said to please her. I asked Koko about her art class and she went off on a tangent giving me the time I needed to finish dinner.
"No Koko you can't replace the teacher, just try to be nice. And no hissing!" I laughed.
"Okay okay, you never said anything about biting though!" She chimed, I smacked her with a dish rag that ended up in a full fledge battle. I won and chased her into her room.
"Come on you have school tomorrow, wow thats new," I said with a laugh.
"Fineeeeeee, night Onnii," She said curling up in a kitten ball.
"Sweet dreams kitty," I said softly kissing her forehead.
