In Italy

We finally made it. Venice, Italy.

It was as beautiful as the last time I was here, although I couldn't really enjoy it much since Lance and I were on a mission. Now, we were riding on a speedboat, with Lance driving.

I noticed Walter's fascinated expression, and smiled. "First time in Venice?" I asked. He looked towards me. "First time anywhere really." He looked away again, admiring our surroundings as he said, "Its always been my dream to come here and feed the pigeons."

"You need help." Lance stated as he drove. Walter and I laughed. God he has such a nice laugh.

If I was being perfectly honest with myself, everything about him was nice. He has nice looks, an amazing personality, he's insanely smart... what's not to like? He's incredible. It made me wonder why he didn't have a girlfriend. It's not like the Agency was against relationships, and sometimes even encouraged them so that people wouldn't go crazy with the stress of work.

But I guess it's not my business.

We came up to the Agency Vault. It's where the list of Agents that Robohand needed would be kept. We got off the boat. "You remember the plan?" Lance as asked Walter.

"What plan? You said, 'stay out of the way and let me kick some a-"

"Good. You remember." I said, smiling.

Suddenly, at least 20 guns were pointed in our direction. Walter and Lance raised their hands (and wings?) in the air. I froze.

"Long way from home, Walter. Nice to see you Rivera."

Standing there with a mini army backing her up was Marcy Kappel, the agent in charge of catching Lance. And, a really good friend of mine. We're practically best friends.

"Marcy~! How have you been? Those cats of yours still as adorable as ever?" I asked, trying to leak some of the tension out of my system. I mean, wouldn't you be nervous if you had more than a dozen guns pointed at you at once?

"Kimura talked. I know Sterling is here in Venice. Where is he?" She asked. Getting to the point are we?

"Stay cool." Lance murmered. He realized, like I had, that Marcy and the other agents had no Idea that Lance was a pigeon. This was definitely going to be useful.

"Where's Sterling?" Marcy asked again. Walter tried to talk, mostly stuttering through his words.

"I-I can tell you wh-where he's not, which is right h-here."
---Cut to Lance's Pov---

I was safely hidden behind the pole next to Lovey. She cooed to me, and being a bird, I understood what she said.

"What! No, we can't just kill her!" Lovey shook her head in exasperation.

"That's dark Lovey!" I stated.

---Back to Michelle's Pov---

Marcy gestured to the group behind her, and they lower their weapons. She puts hers away as well. "Look, you two aren't criminals. Walter, you're a bright kid. You're inventing things that nobody has ever thought of. I know because my boot is still stuck in one of them." Walter looked guilty. "Sorry."

"No no, we're the ones that owe you, an apology. You're trying to keep the world safe. Just like your mother did."

Did? The sentence made Walter saddened, and I instantly knew. This is who Walter lost.
