The force of the blow pushed me backwards, causing the bike to fly foward and crash. I fell onto the cold, hard ground. My vision was spotty, I could hear a ringing in my ears, and it felt like I couldn't breathe. I opened my eyes, and I could fairly make out Walter's form beside me. He too, seemed disoriented.
Coming towards us was the figure of Robohand. Walter tried to grab the database, but Robohand got there first. "Ah ah ah. That belongs to me."
"Technically it belongs to the United States-" Robohand stepped on Walter. "-Government." He turned him over, stepping on his chest. Walter looked towards the scooter. "Lance!"
Robohand looked around. "Sterling. What do you say Lance? Come out! Have some good fun. You're the hero, right? The spy who saves the day, destroying anybody that stands in your way." Walter tried to reach for something, but Killian stepped harder onto his chest. "Oh I'd love to have some fun."
Another moment, but Lance didn't appear. "Guess hes not coming. Well life's full of disappointments." He charged up his robotic hand. I slipped my hand into my sleeve, drawing a small knife. He moved his hands towards Walter.
In a swift movement, I threw the knife, watching as it knicked the steel of his metal hand. He stopped, then turned his attention to me. "Leave... him... alone." I panted, still trying to catch my breath.
He stepped off of Walter, stalking towards me like a predator stalking its Prey. "Now who do you think you are, trying to attack me?" He used his metal hand to grab my neck, cutting off my air supply. I started to choke on air, feeling my body weaken.
"You don't have to do it this way! It doesn't make anything better!" I could hear Walter trying to get up, but he was as weak as I was. I was already starting to feel lightheaded. I felt close to passing out.
"MICHELLE!" I heard Lance yell. Robohand looked away for a single moment, and suddenly something showered over us. Robohand laughed. "Breadcrumbs?" Through my spotty vision, I saw the heads of lots of Pigeons shoot up.
"They're Gluten-Free."
Suddenly, a giant swarm of Pigeons surrounded us. Robohand dropped me, and I sucked in a gulp of fresh air, coughing at the burn in my throat. I felt someone pick me up, and the last thing I saw was Walter's beautiful blue eyes before I passed out.

I awoke to the feeling of someone running their fingers through my hair. I stirred at the feeling, then slowly opened my eyes. There, I saw that I was looking into the eyes of one very concerned looking Walter Beckett.
"Hey." I said quietly. He smiled. "Hey."
"Where are we?" I asked.
"In the Sub." I looked over to see Lance sitting by the panel controls. "You scared the crap out of us, Rivera." I smirked slightly.
"You know, I could've sworn that earlier you called me Michelle." His eyes widened, then he rolled them. "I did not say that."
"Really? You shouting out MICHELLE doesn't ring a bell?"
"Nope."
"That's what I heard." Walter stated in a sing songy tone.
"Whatever." He grumbled. I laughed, noticing a small smile appear on Lance's face. Walter then got super excited about our adventure so far. "It was so epic! When he had his foot on my head, I was like, AHHH! And then Michelle was like, SHING! LEAVE HIM ALONE! And then you were like, NOOO! And then I was like, BREADCRUMBS!" He reenacted the scene with flair! I laughed at his antics.
"He still got away with the database." Lance said in disappointment. I smirked.
"Or did he?" I said. Lance stayed quiet. It was then that I decided to pull a Walter. "Or DiD hE? oR dId He?" I said, putting tons of emphasis on my words.
"I feel like you want me to say, what are you talking about?" Lance finally said, turning around.
"Oh, I'll tell you what she's talking about! During that whole 'bird-nado' thing, we put a tracker on him!" Walter exclaimed, pointing to the radar. Lance looked down.
"Wait, that's him." He pointed to the blinking red light. "That's Robohand?"
"Yup!" Walter said, popping the P. "And it's all thanks to her. She thought of the idea back on the boat." He said, gesturing to me. I lightly blushed.
"Well, if you hadn't brought the tracker, my idea wouldn't have worked." I insisted, pushing Walter's shoulder. He chuckled, as did I.
"Yes! Yes! Oh that is what I'm taking about. Man, I never would've been able to do this without you two!"
"What?"
"What?"
I was shocked. "What did you just say?" I asked in disbelief.
"I think I said-"
" You just said you couldn't have done this without us." Walter repeated. I smiled wide.
After almost a year of wishing and waiting, Lance Sterling had finally given me the appreciation I've been waiting for. I watched as Walter brought Lance into a hug. Things seemed to be looking up. Finally, Lance started complaining about the hug being too long. Suddenly, a loud POP filled the submarine.
Walter pulled back from the hug, and there, resting in the palm of his hand, was an egg.
AN EGG!
"What happens in the submarine, stays in the submarine, okay?" I nodded immediately, never wanting to speak of it.
"You just laid an egg. *Gasp!* You laid an egg!"
"It just kinda slipped out."
"You just laid an egg! Lance this is amazing! Do you not realize what this means? You're a girl!"
"OH! SCUSE ME!"
"Of course! Of course, that's why I couldn't figure this out! I used Loveys DNA in the serum!" He laughed in relief.
"And that helps us how?" Lance asked. "Because now I only need to change one variable in the antidote, and you'll be human again!" Walter explained.
"I'm gonna be me!" Lance said, looking down at his wings.
"Unless you know, maybe you wanna stay a Pigeon a little longer." Walter offered in hope. Lance looked at him in disgust at the thought. "Right. Of course. One Antidote coming right up."
