The Lost Otsutsuki

Ogen

I chased after him for so long. He wouldn't stop, wouldn't even look at me. I was desperate to talk to him. We reached the gorge. He jumped over easily.
"Stop!" I yelled, running after him. I stopped unexpectedly as I reached the edge. It was deep. I took a deep breath, ran as fast as I could and jumped over, but before reaching the other side I fell.

He grabbed my arm from the top. I froze from shock and confusion. I was hanging in the air, my life depended on his action.
"Careful, Akari." He said with a sincere smile. His eyes shining bright like the moon. Who was this guy? Why do I feel like this around him?
I was speechless, couldn't even breathe.
He pulled me up on the ground.
"You could've died." We were sitting at the edge under the moonlight. He touched my arm with his gentle fingers. "You're hurt." I felt the blood dripping from my arm but I didn't care. I was looking at his face, confused. "Let me heal it for you." He said, placing his hand on my wound and it disappeared. "Gotta be careful next time." He fixed the sleeve on my jacket.

"Who are you?" I mumbled after few minutes of staring at him.
"Can't even recognize your twin brother?"

His words hit me hard, I froze. I have no idea what I felt at that moment, I just reached out and touched his face. His skin was really soft but cold. He closed his eyes when my fingers touched his skin.
"I've never had a brother." I said.
"You always had a brother." He answered, running his fingers through my hair. "You just never got to meet him."

Only then I had noticed that his hair was brown on the left side, white on the right. And his eyes were bright like mine when I transformed. We looked so much alike. I had this warm feeling spreading around my heart, making my eyes fill with tears of happiness. I had found my missing piece. I hugged him unexpectedly, making him almost fall from the cliff. He chuckled and wrapped his arms really tight around me. Both of us laughing to tears.
"You're gonna kill us, silly!"
"I don't care! I can't believe this!" I looked at his face one more time. Grabbing both of his cheeks.
"Ow you're hurting me." He mumbled.
"I have so many questions! What's your name?"
"I'm Ogen." Just looking at him made me happy.
"Ogen.." I repeated. He nodded. "Why can't I remember you? You may be lying, but I have this feeling like we're.."
"Connected? I'm not lying, Akari. I've been watching you for so long. I really wanted to meet you but I thought it'd freak you out."
"Well you were following me like a ghost. You freaked me out anyway!"

Ogen observed every inch of my face, smiling.
"You look like mom, you know?"
"Really?! I don't remember mom or dad. Ogen I don't remember anything."
"I know, sis. Someone has wiped your memory."
"But who?!"
"Sorry, I don't know." He hugged me again. "I'm so happy I met you, sis! But it's time for you to go."
"Wait, no! I'm not going anywhere! I just found you!"
"Your friends might be looking for you."
"I don't want to leave you! We have so much to talk about!" He helped me up and before I could know, we were standing in front of the wooden house I lived in. "How did you do that?! Wait, if I drank too much and passed out and this was my dream, I.."
"No it's not a dream." He chuckled. "Meet me by the lake, tomorrow night. Bye, sis!" He said and disappeared.

I rushed to the house and found Mayumi in the kitchen having her midnight snack and another drink. I wasn't sure if I should tell her or not. I decided not to.
"What are you so happy about?" She asked with her mouth full.
"Nothing, I just.. " I got confused, still smiling like an idiot. I poured a drink for me.
"And you're late. Wait, let me guess. Did you cheat on Naruto?" She put her legs on the table, raising her eyebrow.
"I didn't."
"Well, let me tell you one thing, if you cheat on Naruto, I'll odama rasengan you, got it?!"
"You can't use rasengan, you don't even have chakra." I chuckled, knowing she was joking.
"Oh, okay. Then I'll make him odama rasengan you."
"Make him use his clones too." I said sipping my drink.
"Oh, you pervart! I like that!" She nodded. "Actually can't wait to try that with Kakashi. God, I miss him so much! We should definitely go out and drink together when we get back!"
"Sorry for taking you away from your boyfriend."
"Fiancé actually."
"Really?! I had no idea!"
"It's okay! Well, sooner we help you master that power, sooner we get back to our hokages!" She got up and looked at poor Hikaru sleeping on the couch. "But first, we have to prank this sucker."

That night I went to bed as a totally different person. I had controlled the darker part of me, made new friend and even met my brother. I was too excited to sleep. Finally everything was getting back to it's place.
