Chapter 9

Peter's POV

"Riley come on we're gonna be late!" I yelled out the window of my car. Dad had just told me to keep the R8 since it's the only one I drive.

"Coming" she yelled running down the sidewalk. She climbed in throwing her bag at her feet. "Why does it matter if we're late it's school"

"Because I don't want your Dad to kill me" I said.

"He won't kill you" she said "he'll just mildly hate you for a while"

I rolled my eyes and drove down the driveway and out onto the street. We arrived at the school a few minutes later.

We found MJ, Ned and Charlie under the tree. "Hey you two" MJ said looking up from her book.

"Hey" Riley replied sitting on the concrete.

The bell rang and we departed from Ned the four of us going to our first period.

The two person tables in the science classroom were all put into groups of four.

"Find a seat" Mr Sams said.

After everyone had settled he spoke up "Today we will be starting a group project" he said. "And since this will be the last project for the year I'm trusting you to pick your own groups of four"

About five minutes later everyone was seated with their groups of four. It was of course me, Riley, MJ, and Charlie in ours.

"Alright you guys in your groups will get to pick your topic over anything we have covered so far this year." He said "the requirements for your project are on this sheet of paper as well as the due date and your groups presentation date"

"What do you guys want to do?" Charlie asked.

"How about chemistry?" MJ asked.

"I'm no good at chemistry" Riley said. "I was thinking space"

"I like that" I said "what about you Charlie?"

"I'm good with space" he said.

"Let's do it then" MJ said.

I jotted down our group names and project on a sheet of paper and took it to Mr Sams. "Thank you" he said before I went back to the table.

After we just did research the remainder of class me, Riley and Charlie split off from MJ and headed to English.

After that class me and Charlie split from Riley "see you at lunch" I told her.

"See you" she said before walking in the direction of her class.

After the next 2 classes me and Charlie walked to the cafeteria. We sat down with MJ and Ned after about ten minutes Riley still hadn't shown up.

"I'm gonna go find Riley" I told them.

"Alright" MJ replied before I got up and walked away. I walked towards her fourth period class biology.

"Hey Mrs.Jenson?" I asked from the doorway.

"Yes Peter?" She asked.

"Do you know where Riley is?" I asked.

"Um no" she said shaking her head "she didn't show up to class I thought she wasn't here today"

"Oh" I said "thanks anyway"

I walked away and text Riley.
