Peter's POV

I feel so bad for Riley. It's been three weeks since the incident and she's still terrified about everything.

I was sitting on the bottom bunk of our bunk beds when Riley came in. "I'm late" she said. "Peter I'm six days late"

"Are you sure?" I asked standing up.

"Yes I'm sure" she said.

"We need to tell Steve" I said.

"I know" she said. "I'm scared Peter"

"Of course you are" I said hugging her "just know that no matter what happens I'll be here"

"Come on" she said leading me out to the kitchen where her dad was. "Uh Dad?"

"Yeah Riley?" He asked turning around from his conversation with Sam.

"Can I talk to you?" She asked "in my room?"

"Yeah of course" he said "come on"

He had been a lot more lenient with her since the incident. After we got into the bedroom Riley sat on my bed. "I'm late dad" she said looking up at him.

"God damnit" he said. "How long isn't it normal to be a day or two late?"

"Six days" she said.

"We're gonna need to get a pregnancy test" he said.

"I know" she said putting her head in her hands.

"I can't believe this is happening" Steve said.

The worst part is a week and a half ago Riley decided to press charges against Grant. He was given 10 years in prison because Riley has vague memory of him holding her at knife point during it.

"Let's go" Steve said.

"Um actually" Riley started "Can Nat take me?"

"Why?" He asked.

"It makes more sense to see me and Nat together buying a pregnancy test since she's a grown woman" she said "than me and you because as far as the media knows you're still single"

"Alright let me go get here" he said walking out.

Fifteen minutes later Riley and Nat had returned from the store with the pregnancy tests.

Me and Steve were waiting in his bedroom while Riley took them in the ensuite. She came out a minute later with all three setting them on the dresser.

"Says to wait three minutes" she said sitting on the bed.

"You seem calm" I said.

"I've already accepted the fact that I'm gonna be a mother at 17" she said. "That my child is never gonna have a father not that I would want Grant to be my kid's dad"

"We don't even know if your pregnant yet" Steve said.

"You might not but I do" she said "I can feel it and my period is never late never once since I first got it three years ago"

"Riley we don't know that yet" Steve said.

She looked down at her watch then back up at us. "As much as we all want those tests to say negative I know they're gonna be positive"

Steve sighed. "I remember when you were little always saying how much you wanted to be a mom and walking around the house telling me and your mom 'look dis is my daughter' then looking down at the doll and going 'thats grandma and grandpa'"

"Well it's been three minutes" she said checking her watch again.

Steve walked over to the desk and looked down at the tests. "You're instincts were right" he said "I'm gonna be a grandpa"
