Breathe
In for 5 seconds
Hold for 4
Out for 5
Repeat
Until the anxiety ceases
Could take hours
Could take minutes
In for 5
Hold for 4
Out for 5
I know how hard it is
When your hyperventilating and you feel like you can't breathe
When your chest and throat feel so tight you think you're gonna die
When your lungs burn because you've stopped breathing without realizing
When there's a storm inside your head
But breathe
And your breathing will slow
Breathe
And your throat and chest will loosen
Breathe
And your lungs will stop hurting
Breathe
And the storm will stop
Just breathe, baby, breathe
And you'll be alright
