"So before we get started I just am curious where are you from Lexi?" Mr. Zele says as he leans over his desk in anticipation. Carly covers her mouth trying her best not to laugh.

"I'm from Ohio." I say smiling at him.

"Oh wow oh wow Ohio. That's crazy. There is much different weather there isn't there." He says and starts snorting and laughing.

"Yes there is." I say holding back a laugh.

"Before I get way off topic we should get back to the world of numbers huh. Everyone get out your notes I am about to blow your mind." He says and turns to the board.

"Is he like this everyday?" I whisper to Carly.

"Oh yes oh yes." Shes says mocking Mr. Zele I can't help but start laughing a little bit. I quickly recover and turn back to the board. Math has always come pretty easy to me.

The class goes by pretty fast and before I know it I am packing up my stuff for my next class. As soon as the boy rings the boy I made eye contact with is up and out the door. Odd.

I am a little nervous for my next class since Carly and Brooke aren't in it with me. Carly walks me to the door of the class.

"So this is Mrs. Gleens class she is super great. And then I will see you next bell for P.E." Say says smiling.

"Thank you." I say turning to the door.

Ashton walks up to Carly and they start walking away together. I take in a deep breathe and collect myself before I walk in.

I walk into the class and I see a blond 40 year old standing behind a podium.

"Hi! Lexi right?" She says and I smile and nod.

"Perfect you can go ahead and sit right there no one sits there." She says pointing to the middle row.

"Thank you." I say before sitting down. There isn't too many people in this class. There is a boy sitting next to me but he hasn't even looked up from his paper. Maybe it was homework he forgot to finish. He has glasses and looks a little nerdy but nice.

I grab my notebook and a pencil but when I sit up I accidentally knock my pencil off my desk and it rolls under the boy next to me. He notices it and grabs it off the floor for me.

"Here you go." He says handing me the pencil.

"Thank you. My name is Lexi." I say introducing myself.

"Hi Lexi my name is Sam." He says looking in between his paper and me.

"So is this class hard?" I say just trying to start a conversation.

"It depends if you put in effort and listen in class." He says.

"Well I do put in effort and I also listen in class." I say laughing a little bit and he nervously smiles.

"Perfect. Than this class will be a piece of cake." He says with a smile causing his glasses to rise a little on his face.

"So where did you move from?" He asks me as the classroom starts to fill up more.

"I came from Ohio. I moved in with my mom." I say smiling.

"Ah I see. I think you will like this school for the most part." He says raising his eyebrows.

"For the most part?" I say tilting my head to the sound.

"We definitely have some interesting people here- both girl and guy don't get me wrong. But everyone has a spot and fits in somewhere you just got to find that spot." He says.
