"We don't have to talk just to waste time. I just wanna make it to a late night," I sang along with Lucky Daye. This had been my favorite song for weeks now. I could listen to it on repeat for days. Before he could complete the hook, my phone rang. It was Yaya. "Hey, Ya."

"Hey Audi. What are you doing?"

"Just finished my face. I'm packing it up now." Whenever I did my makeup, I had a habit of leaving it all over the bathroom counter. It pissed Yaya off to no end, so I was working on it.

"Great! Come eat lunch with me and Van and our friend."

"Yo friend?" I leaned closer to the mirror to make sure that my face was finished to my liking. I would never let myself leave the room with my makeup looking dry or cakey.

"Remember the other day, we told you our friend Byrd was coming to see us." She said in an attempt to refresh my memory.

"Oh yeah. You said he goes to Central, right?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. Where we eating?"

"Girl, the free ass dining hall." I laughed as I collected the last of my brushes from the countertop. After dropping them in my makeup bag, I zipped it closed.

After agreeing to meet them in the lobby so we could all walk down together, I finished returning my things to my bedroom. I stepped into a pair of black slides and grabbed my room key then headed out the door.

"You out here in Tampa gettin' played, jit. Ain't no seed of mine," Byrd joked while chewing on french fries. Savannah had just explained, in depth, how badly her last romantic situation ended.
