They didn't know what they truly desired. The one thing that was evident though is the chemistry they shared, despite it lasting only a brief period.
Although they went their separate ways, the door was left open for the union to be rectified.

Mondays were typically a long day for me. However, it was "dead week," so I didn't have any classes. Instead, I allowed myself to be swallowed up by the bean bag chair in my living room. That's So Raven played on the tv as I watched with my two of my closest friends, Amiya and Savannah.
"Cory the funniest nigga on the show," Amiya blurted out.
"I don't know, girl. Eddie was stupid," Savannah laughed. "Orlando before the drugs."
"Eddie don't got shit on Cory. Argue with your mirror."
"So what are we doing this weekend?" I changed the subject completely. "It's our last weekend in Tampa before we go back home, for real."
"We were just home last week. We going back already?" Last week was Thanksgiving and, like most college students, we went home. One thing I didn't play about was my auntie's macaroni. I'd even brought back leftovers that had since been eaten.
My friends and I were all undergrad students in Tampa. Originally, though, the three of us were from Miami. I had become good friends with Yaya during our senior year of high school when we found out we'd be going to the same university. I approached her about being roommates during our freshman year and she agreed. Two years later, and we're still friends and roomies.
Since we were sophomores now, we decided to live in a cute two-bedroom apartment on campus. It came with a living room, full kitchen, and full bathroom. It was a major upgrade from the dorm we lived in as freshmen. We now have our own rooms and don't have to share the shower with two additional girls.
Van, on the other hand, I hadn't met until I got to college. She attended the same high school as Amiya and I, but she was a year older than the both of us. Van and Yaya had been friends since elementary school so she introduced the two of us when we first got to campus.
