That afternoon, I woke up to see an arm around my waist and a warm presence cuddled close behind me. It took a minute before to recall the events of the wee morning. I stayed up with Byrd until about 5 in the morning, finishing only one full episode of Death Note. My tv was still on but the screen had timed out.
When I grabbed my phone, which I hadn't plugged up before falling asleep, I saw the battery was still half full and I had a few text notifications.
