The night occurred when the two of them stayed in one of the rooms as they were recalling the moments they had when they were kids.
"The moment I saw you at the park in the hidden sand village, I was drawn into you for some reason," Gaara said.
"Oh, is that so? What was it about me?" Sakura wondered.
"Well, I knew you were tough and could stand against those bullies. Who would've thought a girl would have the guts to punch someone that well?" He chuckled.
She shook her head dismissively, then giggled. "Okay, okay. I get that. I hope I didn't go that far to actually break his nose. But then again, I still did it anyway. I hope he's okay."
"He is," the red-haired Kazekage said, then he placed his hand on his wife's belly, knowing that she is pregnant and both are expecting their first child.
"So you're not feeling any symptoms?" He asked.
"I still do, but I'm going to be alright. Actually, I'm more than just scared. I'm excited," Sakura said.
"Oh really?"
"Yes. It's my dream to become a mother."
"I feel the same. I can't wait to be a father soon and see our baby boy," he smiled.
"Then, I'm happy because I know you will be a great one for sure," she grinned then she leaned in as their lips met intimately for a couple of seconds. She drew back, saying. "Can we go out for a swim?"
"Absolutely," Gaara responded with a nod.
A few minutes later, they headed down the small lake and sat on the rocks, before going into the waters. They started splashing towards each other playfully as he grabbed her waist while their laughter echoed their surroundings. They went on for a dive and swam underneath, then went up to the surface.
Within an instant, Sakura's pupils dilated as soon as the memories flashed right before her like a quick few seconds and gasps out for breath.
"Ahh..."
"Hey, hey. You alright?!" Gaara placed his hand on her back for support.
She kept nodding her head emotionally and cried with her hands upon her face. "I remembered everything and everyone... as I've remembered you..."
"You do?"
Sakura stared at him with the certainty in her eyes.
"Yes... I'm home."
She smiled with tears of joy, whereas Gaara embraced her and kissed her cheeks lovingly as they spent their whole night, thinking about what their future holds.
