It was past midnight and everyone else was all sound asleep in the village, including the pink-haired kunoichi, who had her right arm displayed out while she subconsciously leaned over to her right side. All of a sudden, she was hearing a voice that was crooning delicately outside her window, which made her eyes widen in bewilderment.

She abruptly got up in a sitting position and looked towards her window, but nobody was there. She headed back to sleep, but she heard a voice again, so she narrowed her eyes slightly and rolled them in annoyance. Then, she stood up from her bed and mumbled to herself.

"What now?" She slid the window screen and leaned forward to see if anybody was there until she saw a glowing light that was flying in the air. "What is that?"

The light was moving swiftly away from her, so Sakura decided to follow it as she stepped her foot out to the front, leaving the window open. She jumped down on the ground and began to run at a fast pace, turning to the right direction.

"Hey. Come back here!" She hissed, but was being ignored.

As soon as they reached the cliff, they both stopped near the edge while she was panting breathlessly after chasing the light. Bending down on her knees and wiping the sweat off of her forehead, she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"Who are you and where did you come from?" Sakura questioned.

The light was slowly forming into a beast-like creature that widened her eyes open in astonishment and she became alarmed at how the growls were echoing throughout their surroundings.

Both of her fists were clenched tightly and prepared herself in a fighting position, so she made a few hand signs to perform her technique.

"Dance of the Blossom Mist... Huh?!" Sakura was puzzled when she turned over her right shoulder, noticing how fast the creature was transitioning behind her. "What?!"

Suddenly, her body fell into a loud thump that she couldn't control what was happening to her, whereas her consciousness began to blur slowly into a blackout.

From that moment on, there were voices that were indistinctly being spoken back and forth amongst each other.

"I should've checked carefully if there was anyone intruding our village."

"It's not your fault, Neji. We barely didn't see this one coming at all."

"Yeah and besides... it just happened out of nowhere."

"The question is... what kind of monster did she encounter?"

"I don't know. Let's wait until she wakes up."

Her eyes fluttered open and glanced around to see her friends staring at her worriedly.

"Sakura! You're finally awake!" Ino exclaimed as she hugged her tightly.

The pink-haired kunoichi was puzzled but she returned her embrace anyway.

Kiba whistled and said in relief. "That's a good thing."

"If anything happened to you, we would be so devastated," Tenten said, frowning.

"You alright?!" Naruto asked when he wrapped his arms around the pink-haired kunoichi.

"Hmm," She hummed in response and looked at them weirdly.

"You seem kind of in a slight daze," Kankuro pointed out.

"Just because she is, you moron. She needs time to adjust," Temari rolled her eyes in annoyance.

Gaara, on the other hand, knelt down and took her hand gently, asking softly. "We are all glad that you are safe."

"Right... Um, who are you?" Sakura questioned blankly, much to everyone's bewilderment.

Naruto and Hinata gasped slightly. "What?"

"Huh?!" Choji raised his eyebrows in perplexity.

"It's me, Gaara. Your love and these are your friends," he explained in confusion and gestured his hand towards them. He stared into her eyes that were full of impassiveness as he noticed that her hand let go of his.

The pink-haired kunoichi tilted her head slowly and said faintly. "I don't know you all... Where am I?"

Kankuro and Temari widened their eyes and facepalmed into realization.

"Shit..." he murmured.

"No way..." she went speechless.

"Apparently..." a voice spoke out, making their heads turn towards the fifth Hokage crossing her arms firmly and explain. "She has lost her memories after trying to fight against the monster that was absorbing her consciousness. It is hard to say what kind of creature it was since it appeared to be only a form of light that was chanting. Thankfully, her chakra is still full and unharmed. Don't worry, we will take a few tests on her to see if she remembers anything in particular."

Hinata asked softly. "May I help?"

"Sure. I would appreciate that," Tsunade said smiling with a nod.

"I'll do it as well," Ino said.

"Good. Anyway, I'll be right back once I complete consulting the other patients," Tsunade informed and walked away from them.

They all sighed and their eyes hovered towards the pink-haired kunoichi, who was fidgeting her hands nervously and was staring absentmindedly at the wall.
