"Just one more class..." you thought while walking to the classroom. You sank into your seat and pulled out your notes, hoping that whatever All Might had planned today wouldn't be too exhausting.

In the corner of your eye, you noticed Ashido and some others giggling over by Deku's desk. You looked in their direction, and she caught your eye. She grinned and quickly looked away again, continuing to talk with her comrades in a whisper.

"That's not suspicious or anything..." you thought. Just then the bell rang and class began. All Might walked in quietly and asked everyone to take their seats.

The class began and ended with nothing substantial happening in between. All Might announced the homework for that night and the bell rang. You began to gather up all your belongings and started walking toward the door, when a pink arm interlocked with yours.

"Hey, Y/N!" she said excitedly, "I need you for a sec, come here." She pulled you out of the classroom and halfway down the hallway before you had a chance to think.

"Mina, wait!" you called. She lead you into a back hallway, where there were hardly any students walking around.

"I have something for you!" she said. Mina dropped your arm and showed you a small white piece of paper that was all folded up. "Open it!" she shrieked.

"But who's it from, Mina? What's going on?" you asked, taking the letter and flipping it over. There was no sign of a name on it anywhere.

"Uh uh uhhhh," she teased, "I'm just the messenger!" She giggled and skipped off, leaving you utterly confused. You decided to open the note, and in a second you knew what it was, and your heart raced.

It read:

Y/N,

Happy birthday! I think you're the most amazing person I have ever met. I think you're beautiful, smart, and so incredibly kind. I wanted to give you a present, and I have to tell you something really important, but you have to find me first! I've hidden other notes like this throughout the school. Find them all, and find out where I am. Ready?

P.S. I know you enjoy reading. Check your favorite book for another note!

"Is this for real?" you thought, "Who would know about my favorite book? And they remembered it's my birthday?" you blushed and looked around to see if anyone noticed. A smile formed on your lips as you folded the note up and stuck in your pocket. Only one person came to mind, but you shook the thought from your head, immediately.

The library was quiet now that school was over, but the lights were still on at least. You crept over to your favorite section and picked up the book you'd ready probably a million times. A white rose was closed inside it, and another note fell out from behind the dust cover. You smiled and smelled the rose, then read your next clue.

Congratulations! I knew you'd find this one! Oh by the way, I'm pretty sure you love katsudon as much as I do, and I know a great place to get some nearby! Find the next note there!

"That's gotta mean the cafeteria! Lunch Rush makes the best Katsudon!" you thought. You racked your brain trying to think of who else in your class had the same taste in food, and your heart lept. "No it can't be!" You closed the book, put it back and hurried out the doors.

You got all the way to the cafeteria and started looking around, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Suddenly, you noticed another rose sitting on your usual lunch table. This one was pink. Next to it was a bento box with a note inside. This one read:

You're on a roll! This one might be a little harder, but think about your favorite summertime sport. The boys in our class held a race here, and you laughed with us and had a great time! Think of it yet?

This one made you think, but after a second you figured it out. "The pool!" You continued to run around the school, finding another note sitting by the pool, one in the gym, and finally the last one in the teacher's lounge. This note led to a small garden just outside the dorms.

By that time you had quite a few roses in your hand, each one a different color. Slowly, you walked into the garden, watching the butterflies dance around the bushes and flowers.

You were pretty exhausted from running around, so you hardly noticed the bushy green hair sitting on the bench nearby. He held one last rose in his hand, and it was a deep red color. He got up when he heard you, and smiled. A cute blush appeared on his cheeks, and his big green eyes stared at you.

"Are you disappointed?" he asked quietly, holding out the rose. You took it and smiled, letting it join its companions in the little bouquet that had formed.

"I was actually hoping it would be you, Deku," you said shyly. "What did you do all of this for?"

"For you, Y/N! I knew it was your birthday, and I really wanted to do something special for you. Plus, I uh... I've been meaning to say this for a while now, but... I think I'm in love with you. Everyday I see how kind you are, and smart, and sweet. And I just can't imagine what this world would be like without you in it!"

"Awe, Deku" you said as tears welled up in your eyes. "I love you too!" You threw your arms around him, and held him tightly. "Thank you so much," you sniffled, "for all of this!"

"There's one more thing too." he said, releasing you. "If you're willing, Y/N, I'd like you to be my girlfriend, and I want you to wear this." He pulled out a little blue box with a bow on it and opened it for you to see. Inside was a shiny gold necklace that had the word "Forever" engraved in the charm.

"I love it, Deku. Of course I'll wear it! Of course I'll be your girlfriend!" you jumped excitedly as he put the necklace around your neck.

"You have to hold still!" he said happily. When it was clasped you turned around to face him. He smiled at you, and without thinking grabbed your cheek and pulled you in for a kiss. It was soft and sweet and gentle just like him. Afterward, he grabbed your hand and asked you to sit down with him.

"I'm so happy Deku." you whispered after some time just sitting there. "This was the best birthday ever!"
