Chapter 3

Blake Helbing was relaxing in his den in his families forest. He had built it years ago with the help of his father and brother ; Axel who he shared it with in his younger years. However Axel was now twenty four and studying to be a psychologist, he's very interested in the human mind , too interested for Blake's liking. So because of Axels studies Blake now owns the den in the forest, the den itself is only a small wooden cube covered in vines,twigs and various fauna to try and make it bend into the wilderness. It has a small window that looks out into the forest and inside the den the walls are covered in drawings of birds, some small wild animals and plants and Blake has all drawn all of them. On the floor of the den stood a cabinet that time had aged, there were four drawers in the cabinet and one contained all of Blake's drawing supplies: pens, pencils, markers, brushes, paint and two sketch pads one of them was full and the other was running out of pages. Blake then reminded himself that when he was done he would stick his drawings on the walls.

It was getting dark and Blake had only started to realise that, he then raised his watch and calmly said " BB come"

Next the watch opened up and a small sliver ball rose from the watch covered in what seemed like powder blue veins leading up to a small blue circle. These watches were known as BB watches made by the company Alphacore , almost everyone has a BB watch nowadays. They provide your own, personal assistant that hovers around you and follows you everywhere. They provide details on times, dates , reminders and advice. They can also be a torch, take pictures and can send messages. They are very useful to everyday life.

Blake's BB floated around him and said in a mechanical female voice

" How may I help you Blake?"

"Could you shine please?" Blake asked

" Yes Blake" BB responded, moments after the small silver sphere began to glow a bright white light much like a star. The den was then lit up completely and with BB floating in the centre of the room. Blake who was staring out of his window was startled when a small red breasted robin landed close to his window, he quickly jumped up and grabbed his sketch pad from the draw and any pencil, he didn't care at that moment. He wanted to draw this before it flew away.

Once he found a clean page he started sketching the small bird sitting in front of him. Blake always liked drawing, he liked to express himself on paper rather than on a computer, it felt more natural to him. Although he didn't share this talent at his school, he didn't want to share it as he was afraid that people would mock him for it. He was typically known as the sporty guy at school, he does Martial arts outside of school and is on nearly all the sports teams at school. He finds it more bothersome than actually fun nowadays though, he thought it would be a good idea to join some clubs, make new friends at least.

Blake had two friends at school that he believed were truly his friends, they made school life more bearable, especially when people began to use Blake because of his apparent popularity and it doesn't help when he just naturally talks to people.No matter how hard he tried he couldn't push these people away, he supposed it was just in his nature and that he didn't want to upset anybody.

  Although that didn't stop Blake from fighting with other kids at his school, especially the one's who pick on the younger kids or the ones who just generally piss him off. Of course Blake always wins, having learned some various martial arts helps with those sort of, activities.  Most kids found it highly amusing to watch him fight ever other week, there was always some big man thinking he could take on Blake, only to be shot down at the first hurdle. Blake normally just ends it with a single punch to the face, gut or chest, that usually makes them fall to the ground wheezing. Then Blake carries on with what he's doing like nothing ever happened, he's gotten used to doing that.
