Chapter 26

~Katniss's POV~

I just sit in my closet, crying and rocking back then forth. I can't be a mom. In eight months this baby could be born or dead. Which scares me, badly. The closet door opens and I see Peeta. I stare at him with my bloodshot eyes. He sighs and picks me up, bridal style. I clutch on his collar and sits on our bed. I bury my face in his neck and he rubs my back.

"It's okay." He whispers in my ear and kisses my head. I look at him and gently bring his neck down. I lean in and kiss him full on the lips. Then let go, slowly. For a minute we just stay there, eyes closed and our foreheads touching.

I touch his bottom lip and smile then flutter my eyes open to meet his. "I love you." I whisper. "I love you too darling. We will be fine." He assures. I look at him, pleading, "Promise?"

"I promise." He smiles.

"I know what will make you feel better. A date." He says. I smile. "Well then let's get ready!" I laugh, excitedly.

I change into a royal blue dress that you can dance in, and has a silver belt in the middle, add some 3 inch white heels with it, I start on my makeup. Mascara, eyeliner, and black eyeshadow for my eyes which make them pop. A simple blush for my cheeks then gloss for my lips. I curl my hair in ringlets then bring my right front back.

I wear silver earrings and a heart neckless showing a picture of Peeta and I when you open it, then on the front in cursive it says 'Everlark.'

I smile and head out. I see Peeta in a black and white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, jeans, and some black converse. "Ready gorgeous?"  He asks and I nod, taking his hand.

We head to the surprise place.

~Time Flash~

I take off the blindfold and see we are The lake. I look around the place till I hear music playing. It's All Of Me-Tiësto's Birthday Treatment Remix-

I turn around to see Peeta smiling with a little Rose in his hand. I smile and walk towards him. He puts the Rose in my hair, behind my ear. I connect my hands with him and we start dancing. He spins me out in back in. He picks me up bridal style then spins me. I extend my arms out and close my eyes, feeling the wind.

I giggle as he stops spinning me and puts little kisses all over my face. He sets me down and suggests, "Let's go swimming."

"But we don't have swimsuits." I frown. "So?" He laughs. I smile and undress leaving me in my bra and underwear. I take off my earrings and let my hair free. Then jump in. I swim towards Peeta and he picks me up my waist. I can barely see his face because now it's sunset. He kisses me and I wrap my legs around his waist.

He looks at the sunset and I smile, "Your favorite color.." I whisper. He looks at me and kisses me.

"I'm so glad I found you." He whispers.

"I do too Peet." I sigh in awe and set my head on his chest.

I love my Peeta.
