The Vampire

My birthday was coming. In three days, I will be 19. The past year a lot of things have happened. Brooks died, Kayla killed herself and Stella well she is in prison. We decided to go away for the weekend with my friends because we really grew apart after this stuff started to happen. We went to the old house that Amy calls her "go away from parents house". Amy, Caleb, Jake and I decided to call Mike. Remember Kayla's boyfriend I mean ex-boyfriend now. He didn't even answer the phone. So, we decide to go on a plan B. So, we called Veronica you know the generous one and George the creep. He literally gives me chills. But whatever they are part of the group too so we have to hang out with them.

When we came there everything was nice actually. No paranormal stuff happening and no bad chills. It was cool. We were having an amazing time. We drank and partied a lot. The house was actually Amy's old parents' house. I heard some stories about this place. Apparently, there was this old married couple living here that died in 1864 because of some animal attack. It was told that this animal is dangerous and for some reason, there was a legend in this old town area where the house is. A legend about cold ones that feed with human blood. Yeah, a vampire legend. Funny right? We didn't believe it so we went there anyway.

We decided to make our trip here a few days longer. The first few days it was nice more like amazing. We had so much fun. There was a lot of drinking and truth or dare games. But the nastier type of that game if you know what I mean. Veronica was getting laid by George a few times a day. So yeah, she was quite generous. But then everything got quite weird.

Every day around midnight someone knocked on the door. The first time that this happened we were all surprised. "Who could that be?" Jake asked and went to open the doors. Nothing. Nobody was there. I remember everything about one night.

That day we all woke up around 1 pm like always. But everything felt different. When I woke up, I went downstairs and made some coffee for all of us. But I felt different. I had this weird feeling again that something bad is going to happen. I made coffee and we all gathered in the living room and just talk. We were talking a lot. "Guys, It's already 5 pm and it's already dark outside. Who is up to cook today?" I asked them. "I will make us some pasta," Jake said. After we ate George decided to get some wood for the fireplace so that we will be warm. About 30 minutes later George was not back yet. Jake and Caleb decided to go look for him. "Why is he taking so long?" Veronica asked. Well, she probably needed him to lay her again. "I don't know Veronica. He might be in danger." I replied to her. Jake and Caleb ran back into the house they were really scared.

Caleb's neck was covered in blood. Amy ran up to him and asked him what was going on. " I don't know. I went out to check where George is and he was not there. When I turned around a person was standing in front of me. I thought that it was Jake so I told him that I can't find George when suddenly he ran up to me and bit me in my neck. Jake saw it and ran up to me and tried to save me. He ran away and we ran back here. We have to find George and get the hell out of here," Caleb said.

"Okay, Amy, and Veronica you are on pack duty. Jake and I will search the area around and Caleb you stay here. If I think what it is it's not okay that you are out there." I said. They all agreed and started. We started searching for George and we had no luck. When we came back, I hear some raindrops. It wasn't really raining so it was weird. It was coming from the roof. We all went up to check. When we got up there it wasn't raining but I still heard something dripping. When I turned around and turn on my flashlight, I saw blood. When I looked up, I saw George. Dead. His neck was ripped and he was bleeding so bad. Veronica started crying and we didn't know what to do.

We ran back into the house. Everyone made it in only I wasn't able to escape. The door closed before I could get in. There was this shadow. A vampire that killed George standing in front of me. I legit thought that I am going to die. His eyes were red like blood, his mouth was covered in blood and his veins were purple. I tried to scream but he was already close to me. I was crying and I couldn't move. I thought that he is going to attack me and kill me. But he didn't. He wasn't looking at me like I am his snack. He looked me in my eyes and whispered something to me. I think it was something like "you are different".

"Get your friends out of here by tomorrow. At 5 pm I will come back and check on you. Get all of your friends out of here and meet me here at 5 pm here tomorrow. Do you understand me? If you don't show up, I will hunt all of them down. Okay?" He said. "Yes," I replied. A second later he disappeared.

I ran back into the house told them everything. That they have to go and that I have to stay here for a few more days or they all will be dead. The next day they all woke up early and got the hell out of here. I waited for him on the roof when he showed up.

"Are they all gone?" He asked.

"Yes, I told them and they left a few hours ago," I replied.

"Good." He said.

"Can I go now please?"

"Not yet darling. First, we are going to talk a bit." He replied to my question. He moved closer to me and I was really uncomfortable.

"Can you at least tell me who you are?" I asked him.

"Sure, I am Kol. The animal that killed that married couple in 1864. I'm two hundred years old and my family lived here before that married couple."

I talked with Kol and we made a deal. I don't tell anyone who he is and what happened to George. He will delete the memory of how George died from all of my friends and we all get to live our lives on like before. In the police report, it will be written that it was an animal attack.

But something happened before he let me go. He leaned closer to me and kissed me. The kiss was actually really good and I felt the adrenaline going through me when he touched me. I moved away because I love Jake. Even though for a second, I didn't want to do that. He kissed my cheek and said goodbye. That was it. The last time I saw him was that day. Everything was like it was. Only me and Kol knew this. I still don't know why he didn't make me forget about him.
