Chapter 3 : FBI Interrogations

Everybody starts chatting and asking questions. Ashley turns to me with wide eyes and I try to reassure her by putting my hand on her shoulder. The Special Agent Martinez speaks up and everyone shuts up.

"Please, stay calm. We are here to understand what is happening. That's why we're going to see every single one of you this morning to ask you some questions about Hannah Thompson. If you know anything, please, tell us, it will help us to found her alive."

"We are going to start right now, I'm the Agent Campbell" say the black man from before "all the Freshman students will go with the sheriff Clint, the Sophomore students with the Agent Lewis" the "not-so-straight" guy rises his hand and I poke Cody's elbow discreetly. "Then, the junior year students will come with me and my colleague, the Agent Edwards" a pretty young girl stands up. "And the senior year students will go with the Agent Green and the Special Agent Martinez."

The two agents who are in the back are rising their hand. The Agent Green is an elegant woman with a sweet look on her face, but I bet she is a beast at reading people, because she can't stop staring at our group with determination.

Principal Miller explains how we will go to answer the questions. One by one at a table for five minutes to answer the more questions we can, and this, in the alphabetic order. What a chance. Suddenly, being a Williams is not any fun. To make it easier for the FBI agents, our teachers are asking us to separate in year.

My sister, Amber, Maria, Benjamin, Joshua and Christopher are going with the others junior year students. While the others senior year students are joining Jason, Cody, Zachary, Isaac and I on the left side of the auditorium. We are trying to understand what can have happened, and I can see some students super shocked. Some of them are crying, thinking it could have been them. Yet, most of the students are practically happy, because, to state the truth, Hannah could have been a bit of a bitch with the entire school. The only people she was respecting were the Seven Family children, except for Benjamin, who was her little dog. In fact, the boy always had a big crush on her, and she was playing with it, but she didn't go too far, so nobody said a thing.

Anyway, I'm feeling super awkward about the entire situation; I can't stop thinking about what Victoria said. Her dad wants her to collect information against us, but I can't see why. Why would one of us do something to Hannah? She is our friend after all, so why not suspect the other students?

The first to be called is Cody; he walks casually to the FBI table where he sits in a very Cody mode, crossed legs and straight back. It doesn't take long to the Special Agent Martinez to release him; I bet he already had asked him questions this morning.

Two or three students later, Isaac's turn comes, and I'm sure he is used to it. I know him so well that I can see all his confidence shining from his fake shocked face. He exchanges some harsh words with Victoria's father, which makes her tense next to me. After ending the conversation on a "aren't you here to find Miss Thompson, instead of trying to make me guilty for other things?", Isaac walks quickly away from the auditorium and leaves the school.

Practically the entire school has been called but I'm still here with Victoria waiting for someone to ask me questions. I spot my sister sleeping on a seat in the bottom of the room, and I laugh when she jumps, due to the Agent Campbell calling her name. I know I've got some time left, because just in front of me is sitting Timothy White, the only boy Amber have ever dated, and he is next to go. I start to grumble because I'm fucking bored and Victoria notices it.
