I stood there watching as the creepy dude and the thief talk about my life as if it was nothing to them. Like it was food on a plate they were trying to fight over. I heard the girl tell him that he could kill me. I began to sweat and it also angered me to the bone. I was a Prince and I shouldn't be treated this way.
I watched as she quickly again reached for her bow and seeing her leg moving in an arch. Kicking the dirt in both of our face, making me gasp and cough. I closed my eyes, waiting for the guy to kill me, but the dagger was off my throat. I saw the arrow was stuck in his hand and she pushed me away from him. Decking him cleanly in the face and I just stood there.
THIS GIRL IS CRAZY?!?!
That's when she yelled at me to go back to camp and I did just that. Not wanting to be in this anymore. Why couldn't my life be normal? I tracked the scent of my guards and the horses back to the camp. Seeing that they had cleaned up what they could and salvaged what didn't get destroyed by her, the little thief.
I shift and sigh. As I sighed, all the guards looked toward me surprised. All of them starting to ask me questions, when I smelt her scent. It was coming closer and closer to where the camp was set up. I turned around and seeing a snow white wolf with midnight blue eyes. She began to shift, when my guards tackled her. Watching as she fell to the ground having about 5 guys on top of her. Anger and concern ran through me, yelling at my guards to get off of her.
"That was a women, you fools!!!" All of them immediately got up, turning pale while I yelled at them, apologizing to me. Some falling to their knees from my Alpha voice going through the air. Demanding them to do things.
"Go get a cot set up for her and some water too!" I yelled. They all started running to get the things. Some of the tripping over each other as they all ran in different directions around the camp site. I sigh, and see that she is unconscious. Picking her up gently in my arms, staring at her beautiful face. Black hair sweeping around her face, freckles sweeping across her cheeks, with a little bit of pink on her cheeks, like a small blush. I went into the tent I was staying in, laying her down on the cot like bed.
Gently pulling a blanket over her and walking away to one of the chairs in the tent. I sat down, waiting for her to wake up and explain herself. I call for one of the guards, "Will one of you go back to the road. Go down the hill and make sure that no one is there. You can probably backtrack my scent or hers. I want you to go back and make sure there isn't anything strange." I whispered to one of them.
They saluted and walked away. I walk back over to the chair, sitting down again. Waiting was such a hard task for me and I wanted some answers from her. Like why is she here and who was that guy? Answers is what I really wanted or needed.
(Thief's POV)
I watched the guards talking to Alex, hoping they wouldn't do anything crazy. Walking out, shifting, but as I was shifting they tackled me. I quickly put my body into a survival state that I learned from being only half elf. In my survival state, I can still hear and see everything.
Only the problem was in a out of body experience and sometimes it was rather creepy seeing myself laying there in a coma like state. A little paler than usually and my breathing soft, steady. I stare at myself, being carried into the tent by Alex. Wondering why he cared so much about a thief, but he didn't know that we went way back, we were once friends in the past.
Feeling the blanket go over and it was uncomfortable feeling as he did that, its material was rough. Seeing him whisper to one of the guards at the door and then walking back to the chair, sitting down.
I looked around one last time before I went out of my survival state and back into my body. Gasping and opening my eyes in my real body. Taking a deep breath. Seeing the tent was bigger in person and I sat up slowly, but laid make down from the pain in my back from the guards tackle. Alex, I noticed was watching my every move, carefully studying me.
"Well, I guess your guards are not the friendly type. Especially if I did save your ass back there." I chuckled, seeing his eyes still watching me. A slight smile on his face though. It then turned into a glare.
"I wouldn't have been in the situation if you wouldn't have destroyed my campsite. If you also hadn't decide to go running off. Facing your actions." He argued back.
I just stare into his brown eyes, not letting up. So, he continued,"By the way, they only saw the thief not the lady hidden behind the hood. And what is your name?"
I sat up, "I know your name, Prince Alex Grey." He looked at me, not impressed.
"Everyone knows my name and I'm guessing you wouldn't think I would know your name. Would I?" He said.
I squinted my eyes, "No one knows my name."
He laughed, "I do, in fact. Your kind are all called lone wolves, forgotten, working in the dark. Doing whatever you can to survive, a low life peasant. For I know you're working with that creepy dude. And..." Alex couldn't finish his damn statement, because I held a dagger to his throat. Making his adam's apple bob in fear, his brown eyes widening. Wanting my wolf's anger to get the best of me and hurt him a little for the statement he made toward me.
"You don't know me... Saving your life was the last thing I could have done for you. You should be glad that I was sent here to protect you or right now you would be in Hell, begging for life with Hades. Not the crap your parents tell you about to scare you and I mean the actual Hell. That dude that you saw. He survived Hell and he use to be family. Now he is something different, evil and nothing can help him... Be glad that I helped not get you killed and also my name is Elanor. I am one of the Ancient Wolves. Why am I even telling you this. I could just leave right now... Instead of taking you to the L-Lords.." I said with anger coursing through my voice.
