Chapter 8

I watched as the both of their faces changed. "Like one of us? As in her saying you're dating one of us right?" Jaylen asked. I shook my head. "No, she uh...actually thinks I'm in a relationship with the both of you. Like at the same time. She's basically saying I'm being passed back and forth between the both of you." I shook my head in disappointment.

"She told me that some of her friends tried to get with you guys and y'all turned them down because y'all were with me. Those friends told her that, and she chose to believe them, which made her not talk to me for a week. Today she saw me walking and decided it would be okay to just try to talk to me like we were still on good terms." I sighed while putting my elbows on the table and letting my head fall into my hands.

"I asked her where she had been, and all she could say was that she had been busy. She ignored my calls and texts for a week because she was 'busy', when all she had to do was come and talk to me. When you were pulling up Ace, she started saying how everyone knew because y'all like to share everything so that meant I was apart of that."

Both Ace and Jaylen scoffed at that. "That sound so stupid. We don't do that dumb shit." Ace said, putting his phone in his pocket. "Well, there was that one time -" Jaylen was cut off. "That was one time and it don't even count nigga, that's not the point, though. They don't even know us and they assuming shit because we wouldn't get with some bitches that most likely pop they shit for every nigga in the school. These niggas dumb as fuck up in here. Don't make no goddamn sense."

They've shared somebody before? "Y'all did that shit before?" I asked disgustedly. I'd have never imagined them doing that. They don't even seem like the type.

"Technically, we didn't because we didn't -" I put my hand up stopping Jaylen. "I don't even wanna know, shut up." He sighed, sitting back. "I'm tired of y'all cutting me off." I sit back too. "Then stop talking." Ace said. Jay pouted but he sat quiet as I continued.

"Anyway, after her basically calling a hoe I told her we were just friends and that y'all didn't treat her like y'all treat me because y'all didn't trust her and that I was thinking y'all were right not to. She got and said some things. I reminded her of a few things, she replied back to it and I told her it didn't even matter because y'all still didn't trust her. So she asked the both you for herself." I shrugged. I was hurt but if she wanted to believe them she could. I couldn't tell her what to do and I'm not about to beg her to believe me."

"That's just sad. How do people come with shit like that?" Jay asked. I shrugged, while Ace shook his head. "I hope that opened your eyes to what type of friend she was, Anya. She probably helped spread that bullshit around to everybody." Ace said.

I nodded my head. "It did. I'm done with her." Neither one of them said anything for a minute. That is until Ace asked about something I'd hoped he forgot about.

"You gone tell me who yo Lil baby-sitter is?"

"He's just some guy named Daven. That's all I know about him." Ace sat up in his seat. Something catching his attention. "He? The hell they let a nigga look after for." Jaylen sat up too. "Technically he's a whigga." I shook my head at him. Of coarse he'd say that.

"He white too? I want to meet him."

"No. Absolutely not." I said immediately.

1: He can't see Daven cause I'm obviously lying and there is no Daven. Just a Derrick and he clearly can't meet him.

2: Jaylen would want to tag along and I don't need the both of them there. One is enough for me.

"Why not? I know for a fact Jaylen want to meet him too. Don't you?" Jay's head nodded. "Hell yea. We just wanna meet the whigga that's suppose to be taking care of you Anya. Is that so bad?" He asked. I sighed, gathering my things to go to my next class. "No it isn't but I don't need the both of you trying to act like my parents when my actual parents are the people who got him to look after their daughter. I can look after myself." The bell rung signaling the end of lunch.
