I sent Drae a feeling, that I was going with them and he should follow as soon as he clears the cave and gathers our stores. He sent a feeling of agreeing to me with caution and a desire for me to be safe. I sent affection and confirmation and wished for his safety back.

"Ok, then where are we heading?" I sent to S'eloa "What about the Kymari trainee, he can't be left with Hujik?" He replied. I had to distract them I used my mapping senses to see what the adult Reapers were up to. However, I forgot the Kymari with mapping was in the room a buzz shot through me. "What was that stop it burns" exclaimed the mapper, It was like they overlapped but were on a different frequency.

I try throwing a mental shield around my map but it closes down my range to only this side of the home cave. I opened a mind link with the three and only sent emotions at foggy it was hard to do "Well if you want me you have to catch me" With that I flew straight past the mapper's head and into the last resort exit. name as such because it was too dangerous, for Drea to manoeuvre quickly for a retreat.

They were faster than I anticipated and I had to go mostly on memories of the layout because the mapper was interfering with my mapping functions. I cannot use my Ecco in this section of the cave. the carnivorous plants are too close to the exit opening they could trap me. I'm suddenly surrounded by the fog I use the same mental walls I use on Elder Dairno but reinforced with negative emotions to push back at it.

I clipped the cave wall when I lost focus. I have to concentrate or I will miss the turn. I make a sharp left bank twisting into a barrel roll down under the overhanging roof. cutting upward with a flaring of my wings, to dodge the razor-sharp stalagmite, erupting from the ground of this cave. from here on out it's full of them and stalactites. I have never been through this part using the same way, I have always used it as an obstacle course.

I need my mapping, or I'll be crash landing, with bad injuries and some serious pain. this part of the cave is like flying through a forest of swords. I can't allow them to discover my flame yet so desperate times call for desperate measures. I pull a wingover, turn my head towards the Kymari and blast a short Ecco at them, correcting my fight direction and shooting forward.

using the time gap gained I opened my senses and pushed myself to the limits of my speed. my wings straining to cope. Dodging and twisting, pulling off manoeuvres I had only seen predator birds do on national geographic shows, some led to me having to use my arms and legs to ricochet off obstacles. That I came too close to hitting, this is by far the most dangerous flight ever. I need to slow down and plan my route through this network of rocks, but going off the buzzing pins and needles in my tail they are gaining on me.

Feeling the wind flowing towards me I know I'm close to the exit. mapper has dropped to the back of the group so the pain has lessened, I need to disappear.

I don't think I can keep this pace. I'm exhausted, finally breaking out into the open air I head to the nearest thermal draft using it to gain height giving me some rest. all I had to do was glide. I scouted the area between me and the canopy northwest of me. It is our fallback zone but to get there undetected was close to impossible.

The group emerged from the cave it seemed the mapper could only use his gift on ground level so that was good. but if they had sight similar to Drae, they could track me visually. I need the cover of the canopy, my colouring could camouflage me. With one last push, I flew in the opposite direction of our fallback and landed very close to a known patch of giant Sundews and Rajah carnivores plants. I quickly shut down my mapping and match my body it the tree I'm currently hiding in. I do the sensory lockdown that I did straight after the body swap. I still locked down every muscle.

I spent my lockdown trying to focus only on my bond with Drea. he was in the fallback zone and sent images of the four that found our cave and the units of elite Kymari in the immediate area, he wants me to only activate my hearing. We need to know how close the four are to my position.

The Elite spotted me three days ago while looking for the four. They were told if they found any member of the four they could return to their positions. So were hunting food for the long search, when the Rannoleaves tried to grab them. It was during the escape, that they saw me entering the cave.

I opened my senses and found Foggy and Mapper trying to evade two elite units. Drea relaid possible routes to the two blurry ones while I sent the others my mapping views of the area. Our senses flared in warnings we had ships and Trynnos incoming Reapers also closing in. It was a shitstorm. We have trapped Drae's suggestion for matching our heat and energy outputs to adolescent Reapers. Using our gifts we could match three, but foggy was too much of a risk. So Drea sent him towards the Trynnos, and he agreed through the mapper. Then he just disappears from our senses.

We made it past the reaper adults when the three wanted to take over. They lead us to their safe cave systems. But just before we were to enter one Baylesh pointed out to Drea, that there was a ship crash landing nearby, Drae and I used our combined gifts to scan the ship and two followed it.
