The day was spent evading the elite Kymari, at some points, I had to use my Ecco location to draw the plants closer to the elites to distract them for Drae or myself to move to our home cave, safely.

We did a sweeping gathering of all signs of habitation and covered our tracks. We put in place all our plans to disguise our cave from outsiders and sent a feeling of alarm to the adult Reapers to further distract the elite Kymari. Drae spent time gathering information from their minds, while they were retreating, about all the events leading up to their banishment and any information about this planet. We decided to bunker down and stay in our cave until the elite left the area completely.

It was two days later that Drae spoke out loud for the first time since leaving the prison.
" May we need to discuss what I have discovered from the elite Kymari" The sound of his voice startled me and made me focus on him completely "It has become apparent the Elders council has split, Andrew and Elder Huijk had tried to reclaim the unique flock from Lady Ranen's ship and were planning to place them into the Kymari labs to further research into fire lizards. When she refused entrance to the ship and their removal she got all of her family connections involved which led to an investigation of the Elder council." He took a long breath and a sip of water from the flying monkey skin flask "The investigation led to the discovery of the shutdown of security of the base camp, by Elder Huijk, Elder Kelli and Elder Mariuiso. Which led to us being pushed into the wild while we were injured and unhealthy. Ending with our faked death. it leads to a discovery of the fire-lizard intelligence and mind-linking abilities to be known to the Kymari populace." "The 8 oldest families investigating, have discovered the experiments that have made your species. They are now in firm debate across the board and have split into factions."

"How bad is it? And with the flock split what will happen now" "A lot of handlers with strong bonds have joined with Soranto and Lady Ranen, however, the less established bonds have seen the fire lizards placed in holding facilities similar to the biodomes that other animals have been placed. Other old families are choosing sides. some are in favour of wiping out your race, due to the fact, you are a result of designer gene altering. you can be proven dangerous to Kymari." "How when we haven't harmed Kymari?" "You have forgotten Tasha killed a Kymari and injured one trainee, and you have flamed and severely injured two Kymari vets while drugged, in your early days of treatment."

" I did why didn't any tell me" Drae coughed to clear his throat when our senses alerted us to something headed our way.

we quickly masked ourselves to match our surroundings. Drae dons a cavedewler skin clothing that blends into the rock walls. He slowed his heartbeat and breathing, to the minimal amount to survive, and I copied him and jammed myself into the ceiling whole we use for light, rainwater collection, and air circulation. We ramped up our gifts combining them to a similar leave as evacuation day. The colours were a nice change to have back in my senses. I didn't realise how much I missed colour until that moment.

Drae and I could pick up four people close by, but we could not get a read on them. Two were in a dome. it's like a blurry spot in the mapping they were approaching our main entrance and secondary exit. The was another one that had a presence like Elder Dairno but it was a dark fog, I was so focused on it that I missed the fourth one brushing the edges of our mapping with their own. it sent sparks tingling through my whole body. Drae told me to close off the bond before we are discovered and to blend into the cave as much as we can because he can't read any of them. 

The four beings made it into our main cave room and set about making a fire, they felt largely similar to Drea's energy reading but harder to decipher.

" the flying lizards in these cave systems should have appeared by now, it has been 28 days since the last ate gotta fruit." The one covered in fog spoke "This cave is set up well, do you think the new Kymari trainee is working with them or are they just pets " asked one of the blurry ones " Elder Dairno was on the planet so I would guess they are intelligent, and one of the experiments he hunted," the other blurry one spoke, "so why to leave it here, why not take it back to the settlement? and why out of anyone would he allow Huijk anywhere near it, since it's his factions leading the experiments." The foggy one asked, "Exactly why it is here, Huijk has found what he has been aiming for! a new weapon and he is testing it." "And given it, my gift by the feeling I had before entering the caves, are you coming out yet? we will need that air shaft soon" the one with mapping said

I froze, wanting to ask Drae what we should do. Then decided I may have been found but Drae could still escape. I flew down and landed on my nest ledge. I had my ears tuned to them as well as my lower level sensitivity looking for body heat but I wanted to know more. The urge to see them was overwhelming. I blasted my Ecco into the cave to get a better idea of its shape and size.

"Stop" yells one "It hurts, our hearing when you do that, with the plants still so active I would've thought that too dangerous for you to use," blurry number one said "Where is the training Kymari you were with, he seems to have adapted like us and we need to warn him about the 3 Elders and get him to a safer location," said foggy "like you?" I was mentally foggy it was like being swallowed in a deep river. His mind didn't just receive my message it dragged my mind into it as well. He quickly pushed me from his mind and placed a shield up between us "ok it's a telepath, don't try that with me my gifts will consume your mind, the others can communicate that way but I'm not safe too." He said with a worried tone.

I tried sending him feelings of confusion and images only, they were how I saw him with my gifts in the question of the fog surrounding him. to see if it would consume them also but it didn't. " yes although I have never seen my gift before, so you only see in shades of greys?" He asked
I sent him memories of my accident and the change in my sight but left out the full extent of things. I also sent him my confusion about what he was. " We are Kymari." He chuckled "We were elites but were able to tap into gifts from our ancestors. Then Elder Hujik isolated us and experimented on our gifts changing them to what they are now." He said in an angry tone "Elder Dairno made it known to the rest of the Kymari populace that we were imprisoned, he had demanded our release." Blurry number two continues when Foggy takes a drink "The elder council decided we need to be tested to see if we could reintegrate to the community, so they had us retrained here, but when S'eloa here" he points to blurry one "discovered they were going to move us to a rogue planet to clear it of outlaws and sicora, so they could justify more experiments. We went into hiding, Elder Dairno tried to intervene but was limited in what he could do and retain his place on the council. So he has been freeing experiments and moving them to a hidden planet and leaking information to the oldest families for the last 100 years about the three Elder factions in the main council. And the damage they have created." He summed up " We cannot stay here long we need to move the elite have sent the message they have found you, and that you are alive. we need to hide you before Hujik can get to you" exclaimed the mapper Kymari "They place tracker chips under the skin of all experiments so that needs to go first you have obviously damaged it for them to believe your death but we need it out completely if you will allow Baylish to scan you using his gift we can remove all Kymari technology from you"

I sent confusion as to why I needed to permit Foggy because they are actively using their gifts now anyway. " But he cannot detect any technology in the cave, but you must have trackers or the elites wouldn't have found you"
