Chapter 10: Dark Comes to Light

The wind is calling soon. Soon the day will be when you and I will meet. Until then, be prepared because every storm has an awakening. Everyone has a day that comes to the end. When dark meets lights. All kuzimu will ascend. Can you hear it? The coldness of the dark and the heat of the light clash together. Can you feel it? The energy passing you by as you sit there wondering why. Tick Tock. The clock has never stopped. Until now.

As the wind blows Zula begins to study for the big day that she and Chike will meet. Can she draw her to her side by force or just befriend her.  She decided that the only way she can get close to her was through strategy. How though? She picks up a book and sits on her bed as she reads through the book to find a spell that can maybe get her close. Sadly, there was none. She had no choice but to befriend her. She looks and sees Kyle as stone as she says out loud "I'm gonna get you free." She looks at the time and sees that it 8 PM. "Perfect timing" Zula says to herself. She gets up and dresses up in her casual outfit to blend in with everyone. She then proceeds to head out to meet her newfound enemy.  Once she reached the apartment complex. She thinks of how she'll have to plan even harder.

 She knew how awkward it'll be for her to not live here but knock on her door but she had to take a risk. She closed her eyes and try and sense for Chike energy. Once she found her energy she begins to walk to her apartment door. Zula took a deep breath and gave her best frown as she knocks on the door. Nya opened the door in confusion and looked at her and said: "Can I help you?" Zula begins to panic saying "my boyfriend Kyle. He has been captured by the evil African god, please. I know he was training Chike. Where is she?" Nya quickly let Zula in and said "Oh my! I'll go get her just stay right here" before Nya can go get Chike. 

Chike came out herself and asked, "Who are you?!" Zula sits down and begins to tell her story "My name is Zula. I once served one of the African goddesses. I was considered as the 'Chosen one' but to be that one I had to stay a virgin but my father was very much jealous that it was me and not him so he raped me and the African god turn her back on me leaving me there. I met Kyle during that time and he comforts me and I fell in love with him." Chike looks at her and frowns saying "I'm sorry that happened to you". 

Zula sits back recalling all of that had happened to her and what caused her to even turn evil. She felt betrayed. Chike hugs her and Zula is surprised by the sudden emotion around her. She feels all the positive energy Chike is sending to her. Chike sits down and asks "do you do witchcraft too?" Zula smiles gently saying "yes, I'm very advanced with it. I was the one who taught Kyle." Chike lightens up saying "so what happened to Kyle. I've been trying to get in contact with him". Zula teared up saying "he was captured by the evil god. That why I have come to you to help." Chike stood up and said with confidence "I may not be good at dark magic but if you teach me I'll help out" Zula looks up as Chike turned away from her. She begins to smile saying "I'll train you" 

Chike turns to her and smiled saying "really, you'll do it" Zula smiled saying "of course, I will. I need your help to save Kyle of course". As Chike was smiling saying thank you over and over. Nya glared at Zula as she senses something was off about Zula but before she can turn and speak to Chike. Zula said "I must go and begin preparing all books you need to read. I'll be back tomorrow night". Chike nodded as Zula left out the door. As soon as she left. Nya spoke, "I don't trust her." Chike looks at Nya and says "Nya, I know you and your jealousy get the best of you but you heard her story she even cried." Nya glared at Chike and decided to just go in her room. Chike rolls her eyes and head to her room. 

As Zula walked in the darkness she laughs and says "well that wasn't so hard. I train her and make her serve under you, my god". She hears Gaunab laugh in the distance as she turns around quickly. She sees him in human form as he looks at her in her eyes and rubs her face "my my, to tell your story must be intriguing". Zula looks at him and says "I'm just doing what must be done" He smirks at her and says "you better" then dissolved in the air. Zula takes a deep breath and continues to walk home knowing she has to save Kyle in this way.
