"It's almost 8 o'clock and Steve should've been here an hour ago. Where is he?" asked Eddie as he looked at his watch.
"I don't know son. But I better call your mother to see if he's still at home." said Carl as he took out his cellphone.
Carl dialed the house phone number and seconds later Harriet answered it.
"Hello." said Harriet.
"Hey sweetie. You haven't seen Steve have you?" asked Carl.
"Last time I saw him it was two hours ago when he was getting ready to have dinner at the restaurant." said Harriet.
"He's never late for anything and we're starting to get very worried." said Carl.
"I'll call his parents in their hotel room and tell them the news." informed Harriet.
"Ok bye." said Carl as he hung up his cellphone.
Eddie left the table and went outside to look for Steve but he couldn't find him.
Eddie decided to go back inside the restaurant but he noticed that his shoe was untied.
He bent down on the ground to tie it and when Eddie finished he saw Steve's Isetta.
"What the heck?" Eddie thought to himself.
"Steve's car is here but Steve isn't." Eddie thought out loud.
He ran back into the restaurant to tell his dad and cop buddies what he saw.
"Dad! I saw Steve's car but Steve was nowhere to be found!" shouted Eddie.
Carl was amazed and decided to do some police work and ask the manager if there were any security cameras outside the restaurant.
The manager was kind enough to show Carl the cameras.
The manager rewinded the surveillance footage an hour before and there he saw Steve on the ground and a little old lady picking him up and taking his unconscious body away from the restaurant property.
He walked back to his table and informed the policemen that they have a missing person to find.
The men left their table before ordering their meals, asked the manager if they could borrow their footage, took the evidence with them and got into their cars to the police station.
