Monday was.... Unexpected
Now it's Saturday and I still can't believe that a famous actor is adopting me!
I'm also meeting Jason today.
I really really really hope that he's not a complete brat, but from what i've heard he is, hopefully Catherine was exaggerating, if not then I'm in trouble.
" Hello? Ally?"
Shot, their here already, i thought i had at least an hour.
I haven't even had breakfast yet!
" Yea? i'm over here." i respond
" We know, because unlike you, WE can see." a snarky voice says.
That must be Jason, if it is then i am officially screwed.
" Jason! Be nice! Ally is going through a hard time right now ." Catherine scolds him.
Crap, that really is Jason. I mean, C'mon Ally, who else would it have been?
" Yeeeaaaa, about that, you never told me what really happened, you just said that her parents died and that she's blind and were adopting her. I want the whole truth."
" If she wants you to know, then she will tell you and that's her decision to make"
" ugh, Fine. Ally, tell me the whole story.NOW."
" JASON!"
" Mom you just said it was her decision to make."
" And want makes you think that you deserve to know what happened?" I tell him.
" How dare you not tell me, i am Jason brown. No one ever dares to say no to me because i am amazing."
I laugh but try to cover it with a cough, making it kind of sound like i'm choking.Oops.This is what happens when i try to be semi-polite.
Gees, i'm starting to question if this kid is really fourteen and not six, 'cause by the way he is acting i'd think he was six if i didn't know that he's 14. He really needs to grow up.
" Please, i will only tell you this once so listen carefully, I. Don't. Care." i say, Then regretting it.
What if Catherine doesn't like me anymore? You know what? Screw that, i refuse to let some brat walk all over me. If she doesn't like me for standing up for myself then it's her lose.
" Whatever, i'm leaving anyway."
Then i hear the door slam
" I am so sorry about that Ally, Jason can really rude at times."
" it's fine, i've met plenty of kids like him before."
" No it's not, he needs to learn not to be so rude to people. Anyway, i want to thank you for standing up for yourself, everyone else is too scared of him so they just let him get away with it."
She wants to thank me? Not what i was expecting at all.
" Oh so that's why he acts like a 4 year old."
She laughs," Yep, and he needs someone like you to put him in his place."
" Really?"
"Really. Oh, i almost forgot the real reason i came by today."
" I thought that you came so i could meet Jason."
"Well that too, but the real reason i came is to ask you if you want an animal companion to go with you."
"You mean like a service dog?"
"Kind of, but i was thinking of something more up your ally."
"Like what?"
" What about a mini horse?"
"Seriously?!"
I knew that some people had service horses instead of dogs and i always thought it was really cool. I really hope that she's serious.
" Yes, last night i searched up service animals and came across the concept of service horses, after i did some more research on it i found a farm that has about five for sale not to far away. Wanna go?"
" YESSSS!!!"
Wtf just came out of my mouth? I never talk like that, Ever.
" Okay then, that's great because i already made an appointment."
" Really? When do we go?" i say while starting to get up
" Slow down", she says with a chuckle, "Were leaving in fifteen minutes but i have to drive back to the house and drop Jason off first."
" Ok, I'll get ready in the meantime."
~~~~~~~~~
15 minutes later i had eaten breakfast and was ready to go.
I was about to be around horses, well mini horses, for the first time in what seems like forever, before the accident i would see horses everyday and i never realized how stir-crazy i go without them until now.
I mean if anything, i blame myself for what happened, if it wasn't for me then Aspen wouldn't have been at the show, then she wouldn't have tripped, then i would never have been hurt, then my parents wouldn't have been driving to the hospital, and then they would still be alive.
It was my fault. And now there's nothing i can do about it.
" Ally? Are you ready to go?"
I snap back to realty when i hear Catherine's voice.
" Yea, would you mind helping me? I haven't been walking as much as i should."
" No problem, i parked the car as close to the entrance as i could."
" Thanks."
When i stepped out of the hospital doors i realized that this was the first time i had left since i'd gotten here, it was a rather warm day but there were light breezes, making it pretty much perfect weather.
It felt nice to be outside again.
And even though it was just walking out of the door, it felt like the first step out of my past and into the future.
Catherine helps me get in the car and i think about how quickly my life flipped upside down.
I just hope that future is a good one, and so far it looks like things are starting to look up but nothing can be entirely forgotten no matter how small it seems.
I must have dozed of because i feel the car stop. 20 minutes later.
" Ally wake up, were here.
