Chapter 17

Cole's POV

I can't believe that girl.

She was just like how i expected her to be.

It was kind of like she couldn't even see me.

When i got there she was just sitting  and didn't even offer to help.

Then when she bumped into me because she wasn't paying attention to where she was going, she kind of just said sorry then left.

True, she did say sorry but that's beside the point.

Her mom seems pretty nice but she didn't seem bothered at all that Ally didn't even offer to help, maybe because this kind of thing happens a lot.

The trailers just pulled up and now i have to go help Catherine unload the horses, because surprise, surprise, Ally didn't want to help.

I mean C'mon, she just bought you horses, the least you can do is offer to help.

" Cole, would you mind taking Bubbles for me?"  Catherine asked.

" Sure" I say, walking over  to where she is.

" Thanks, here" she says while handing me the lead rope of a pretty grayish-blue horse.

Don't judge, i'm not a horse person.

" Ally will help you find Bubbles stall, she should be in the barn." Catherine informs me.

Great, now i have to talk to Ally again.

" K " I reply

I walk toward the barn and Bubbles follows me, she seems like a pretty well-behaved horse, i remember seeing some horses that were doing the opposite of what there riders wanted them to do.

She does keep trying to eat though, maybe she's hungry.

I'll make sure she gets some food once she's in the barn.

" Ally" i say when i walk in to the barn.

" Yea?" she responds, not even turning around to face me.

" Can you show me which stall is Bubbles?"

" Sure" she says, " Follow me"

Then she whispers something to the mini horse that follows her everywhere and starts walking toward a stall.

" Thanks " i say, just because she's gonna be rude doesn't mean that i have to be too.

" No problem " She replies and turns around to face me " Do you know where Catherine is?"

" Yea, she's out with the trailers."

I got to admit, even though she's rude, she doesn't look like the other barbie's at school, they all have blond and black hair and wear way to much makeup.

Ally isn't wearing any makeup and has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, she's kind of cute her own way.

Wait, what am i thinking?

She's just like the others even though she may not look exactly like they do.

" Cole, earth to Cole " She says, interrupting my thoughts.

" Yea?"

" This is Bubbles stall, don't her halter off right now, just unclip her lead rope and give her a flake of hay."

Someones feeling bossy today.

" K"

" Once you get Bubbles in, I'll go with you to the trailers so that we can get the other horses"

" Sure"

I put Bubbles in the stall, unclip her lead rope and put a flake of hay in the feeder like Ally said.

" I'm done, let's go" i tell her.

" Lead the way" she replies, then says something to her horse.

I walk back over to the driveway with Ally following me.

I wonder why she wanted me to go first, she's the one who lives here.

Whatever, maybe she doesn't want to get lost.

Wait, she's been here longer then me, also you can pretty much see the driveway from the barn. 

You couldn't get lost unless you had a blindfold or something on, and even then it would still be hard to get lost.

 Girls are way to complicated, i don't really care if that means there more mature or whatever, their still complicated.

" Hey Ally " Catherine calls out when she sees us approaching.

" Hi Catherine." she responds.

" Ally, would you mind helping with Ace? Just wait here while we get him out of the trailer."

" Ok " she answers.

Catherine walks over to the second trailer and opens the door, she goes in and leads a mare out.

" Cole, would you mind taking April for me?"

" Sure " i say and walk over to where she is.

She hands me the lead rope and i start walking toward the barn

" Cole, would you mind waiting for Ally?" 

" Oh yea, sure" i reply, feeling kind of embarrassed.

The lady that was driving the truck comes out and goes in the trailer to help Catherine get the other horse- i think his name is Ace, out of the trailer.

I hear some banging from inside the trailer and wonder whats going on, then a horse bolts out of the trailer and starts running in the opposite direction.

" Shoot " The lady says.

" What happened?" Ally asks

How could she not see what just happened? 

A horse literally just ran right in front of her!

" Ace took off, you think that you can help us?" The lady says.

How is she supposed to do something that a horse trainer can't do?

They better not say that she's a " horse whisperer " or something like that.

" Is there anything i can do?" i offer.

" Maybe, let's see if Ally can get Ace first though." Catherine replies.

" Sure" i say.

" Ally, here's a lead rope, Ace ran off to your right."

" K " she replies and starts walking to the right, but she doesn't really look sure of where she's going.

" Ace " she calls out and i see Ace slow down.

" It's okay " she says, " i'm not gonna hurt you."

He stops.

" Good boy" she says to him and he starts walking in her direction.

" Come here Ace" She tells him

He continues walking and stops right in front of her.

I just stand there with my mouth open, i can't believe she just did that, that was literally something out of a book.

Ally walks over to us with Ace walking willingly next to her.

" I know right, pretty impressive for a blind girl" the lady says.

Wait, Ally's blind?
