When i got to the gym kita ko lahat ng teammates ko sobra na ang pawis sa katawan. They were running back and forth, Jeron noticed me enter the gym, "Oh Ravena buti naalala mong may practice pala."
"Oo paps. Di ko naman nakalimutan e. Lapse of time lang. Haha. Bihis lang ako. Si coach pala?"
"Ganda ng ngiti idol ah. Chicks ba? Wala malelate whole staff may meeting daw. "
"Gags! Di chicks yun. Ina ng mga magiging anak ko. Hahahaha. Sige sige. Balik lang ako"
Bago pa makahirit ulit si Jeron dumiretso na ako sa locker para mag palit. With a smile plastered on my face. Alam ko sobra ngiti ko, kanina pa actually pag labas palang sa Starbucks. Hindi ko mapigilan eh.
Lumabas ako agad para maka stretching na at maka habol kahit paano.
When i got out nakita ko sila nag wawater break. So i put my things down, put my shoes on and started to do some stretching when my team mates encircled me.
"Ehem. Anong ina ng magiging anak mo kamo ha Ravena?" I heard Von say. Yes, magkaka teammates kami. Kahit si Torres kasama namin sa team eh.
"Ahh. Grabe mga paps. Di lang hotseat to ah. Haha" i answered scratching the my nape.
"Wag ibahin ang usapan. Please. Hulaan na lang namin gusto mo?" It was Jeron.
I just smiled at them and continue stretching.
"5'11 ba ang height?" Sabi ni Torres. Nag smile ako.
"Maiksi ang buhok" sabi naman ni Kevin Ferrer. Ngiti pa rin sinagot ko.
"Part ng RP team ba itey, idol?" Pa baklang tanong ni Gelo.
"Gago paps umamin ka nga! Gelo ha!" Sigaw ng buong team kay Gelo. Pano ba naman. Seryosong usapan yan palagi ang trip nyan. Mag babakla baklaan.
"Hoy kayo! May girlfriend ako noh! Masyado nyong hino hotseat si Phenom eh! Matanda na yan!" Sabat ni Gelo sa kanila.

Iniwan ko na sila and i started jogging. Natatawa ako sa kanila. Its not a secret to the team kung sino ang tinitibok ng puso ko. Ever since, i am very open naman. Lahat sila karamay ko nung nag break kami ni Mika. Alam nila kung gaano ako nasaktan, kami ni Mika. Medyo naging close na din naman siya sa team mates ko since kada may party or any gatherings noon kasama ko siya.

"Naka takas ang agila mga paps!!!" I heard Ferrer shout. Napailing nalang ako.
"Oo na alam namin na si Mika yun! Arte neto eh noh. May mga mata kami kahit saan Kiefer Isaac! Trending kaya ang "hashtag" miefer together again sa lahat ng social media sites kanina!" It was Jeron who shouted. I know that what I did was going to cause gossips around. But who are they to judge. I am not a celebrity. I am just a basketball player trying to win my girl back.
I did not realize i was lost in my thoughts until I felt Von tap my shoulder.
"Grabe paps! Ano plano?"
Von and I go way back since grade school. We have been playing basketball side by side, we have seen each other grow and become better players, and he has become my best friend. He knows me well enough.
"I asked her to go to Nuvali with the family next week for Mama's birthday paps! Sama kayo ni Lau?"

I saw my mom at the living room reading something and my dad at the dining table scribbling something or signing something. I went to greet them individually and hugged my mom tight.
"Manong, have you eaten na ba? Hows practice?" Mama asked.
"Yes, ma. Nag team dinner after practice kasi may mga announcements si coach regarding SeaGames. I was late at practice today. Haha" i saw dad look up from what he was doing.
"Oy, bago yan Kief ha? Sino dahilan?" Tanong ni dad.
"Oo nga manong sino?" Mom added while sheepishly grinning.
"Grabe naman. Sin-o dayon? Hindi pwedeng ano?" I asked them using some Hiligaynon words i know.
"Sus! Deny pa ba? Matic na yun nak eh. Tsaka nabanggit na ni Thirds kanina. I was not able to answer your calls kasi i was in a business meeting. "
"Alam na naman po pala eh. "
"Syempre Kief mas maganda pag sayo nanggaling. Oh ano, yung mamanugangin ko ba?" Tanong ni dad. While his eyebrows go up and down. My dad may look strict and all but he is really as funny as my mom. That is why i am so thankful for having such hippy parents that i can rely on about everything even my love life. Botong boto naman kasi buong angkan ko kay Mika eh. Maski sila alam ko nasaktan nung nag hiwalay kami.
"Ambot papa ah! But yes. It was Mika. I met her, well, after days of stalking her, i finally approached her. " i saw mom and dad look at each other and smile.
"Ravena ka nga, nak. I was about to disown you kung sabihin mong di ka pa gumawa ng move. Nako. Pipingutin ko talaga singgit mo!" Mom laughed after saying those words.
"Oh ano ba daw sabi, good ba o good?" Tanong ni papa while walking towards Mama and Me.
"Sure daw po she'll come. For mama. Of course. Pero Ma, Pa. I told her i missed her and she said she misses me too. Do you think we still have a chance?" I asked them curiously and shyly. By this time Papa was sitting beside Mama.
Give it to my parents to always seek time for each of us. Me, Thirds and Dani will never be the way we are today if not for them. Kahit gaano sila ka busy, basta may problema kami, they will leave it and comfort us. Give us advice.

"Actually according naman kay Baby eh same situation kayo ni Miks. Simula nung nagka hiwalay kayo. Work and practice. Night life once in a while kahit pilit. Haha" sabi ni mama. My mom and Tita Baby became close when Mika and I became a couple officially. They eventually turned into close friends. And sometimes would call each other Mare.
"Wow, ma. Until now may commu parin pala kayo ni Tita? How come you did not tell me that earlier? Nakaka tampo ha. " i acted hurt. And saw my dad laugh silently.
"Ay nako Kief, kung di mo natatanong. Phone pals yang dalawa." Sabi ni dad. It was my turn to laugh seeing my mom's reaction, she slightly punched dad on his shoulder. And said that it was supposed to be a secret.
"Pero nak. Back to the topic. Ever since you let us know that you and Mika are dating, i felt that you are happy. I can sense it in your voice, see it in your eyes and the way you do things starting that time, it was like out of this world. Your energy was extreme. I may be exaggerating, but it is true. I know from the time that Mika became your girlfriend, she was the one for you. And i am happy that you made better decisions." Mom was slightly teary eyed yet she managed to smile.
"Yes Manong. Even as a father, i would want Dani to have the same experience you gave Mika. The way you treated her. I can say that you grew up a wise man, son. And i thank your mom for that." Dad kissed Mom's temple after.

"I thank the both of you for who i have become. You two are my inspiration. You are my idol dad. And i am very thankful that you gave me the standard of the things to do to treat your woman right. And thank you both for being so supportive of me, my career and my love life. Even sometimes feeling ko mas anak nyo pa si Mika noon kesa sa akin." I went to them and hugged them both.

"Ang drama nyo!" We heard Thirdy's voice. "Inggit ka lang oy! Kadto di!" I shouted back to him. He immediately joined us.

"I heard most of it Manong. Dani and I will always be behind your back and support you basta lahat ng gagawin mo tama. At basta para sa MIEFER!" He said it with matching hand gestures.

"So Manong, let us start planning for the Nuvali trip with the Ravenas!" Mom said after giving each of her boys a kiss on the cheek.
"Sure, Ma. Thank you! So so much!" I said while hugging her and giving her kisses on her cheek.

And i laughed after hearing her say,
"This calls for Operation: Mika Reyes soon to be Ravena. I need to call The gang".
Dad and Thirdy laughed as well. Sayang Dani needed to be at her classmates house at this time. Because I know for sure. She will be happy to hear that i will win her Ate Mika back.
