I see beyond your exterior to your lily of the valley heart
I am your gardener and florist all wrapped in one
I don't want flowers, but to forever bloom by you, everyday
Your luscious voice lavishes me like lavender
Your eyes are May
Your tears are cut flowers and I restore your roots
Bouquets of you would only suffice in buffet quantities
Honeysuckle smile
Your bird baths are myrrh baths
Scented candles melt to wax, outdone by your flesh
You're so fluent in the language of floriculture that landscapers whimper
You're the green thumb Green Giant
Hair like carnations crowning your head like coronations
Buttercup tenderness that composes
Foxglove fingers
Your neck is the sweet tooth of all nectars
Would you be able to find your bearings and bear fruit in just my greenhouse?
Your eyes chop me down like lumber
You're a songbird birdhouse collector
Your gardens are the Elysian Fields
Your heart is a cuckoo clock
Words that could clear forests
You climb into my treehouse and we play house
This passion burns like firewood and I ask that you don't conserve the trees
We're a rainforest and an endangered species
We're stiff as wood without each other...tree stumps
We escaped a wildfire in the woodland, so let's hope for ecological succession
Let's make it to old growth forest age...for our annual rings to outnumber and outlast the rest
You're a botany miracle worker
I cool off and cool down under the shade of your strong branches
Love is swinging on vines and we fell together
Our seed of love was planted at first contact and time has only watered it
Strange nature surrounds us
Our destiny can't be potted, for we will grow out of it like weeds
We are an invasive species
We explore places undiscovered in each other
Man vs. nature and nature steps down, recognizing how special we are
The grass grows greener under your photosynthetic light
Because of you, I have more hops in my step than a grasshopper
Kiss me with the wildness of the wilderness
When you or I are not in each other's company, we feeling like we're being stoned to death
When we're alone together, the time zones line up
Your heart is an oasis
We are Yin and Yang
Our union is feng-shui
Our nest is a microenvironment
Your eyes are scrying mediums
Our combined forces are the strongest earthbound magnetic field
Our love is Qi
